Ashley Graham had a rather unfortunate accident while tucking into some delicious cookies: she only went and lost her front tooth.
The model took to Instagram to share a snap of the gap she was left with after eating some frozen cookies that her mom had made her.
"Shout out to Linda Graham for making the best oatmeal cookies in the world, and putting them in the freezer and having your daughter break her tooth on them," she wrote on the photo-sharing platform, explaining that the stump she was left with came after her veneer had broken off.
Per The Metro, one method used to fit veneers is to file down the natural teeth into "pegs", which the porcelain veneer is then fitted onto. However, this does not make them immune to accidents, as Ashley and her frozen cookies will attest to.
Luckily, Ashley didn't go without her front tooth for very long, as she later showed off a full set of pearly whites on her Instagram Stories. She told her followers that she had a new veneer fitted to replace the one that had come off, writing: "Glued a new one in."
The 32-year-old has reportedly been quarantining with her family in Lincoln, Nebraska during the Covid-19 pandemic, along with her husband, Justin Ervin, and their baby son, Isaac.
Watch Ashley speak about her veneer mishap below:Speaking about her time in lockdown, the plus-sized model told Harper's Bazaar that she loves that it has given a chance for her baby to bond with his grandparents.
"The silver lining [of the lockdown] is having all of these incredible, special moments with Isaac, and the nostalgia of being with my son in the home I grew up in. I’ve had time to focus, and I’m so grateful," she said.
