Aubrey Plaza may have accidentally revealed the birth of her unborn baby in a conversation with a fellow actor.
The 41-year-old attended the Tribeca Festival premiere of her upcoming film, The Accompanist, on June 4.
She donned an all-white outfit, which featured baggy pants and a sleeveless top, and cameras were firmly on her while she made her way across the red carpet.
The actor could be seen reuniting with her co-star, Susan Sarandon, while on the red carpet, as the fellow actor was thrilled to see her baby bump.
Plaza was rubbing her bump before lifting her top slightly, though Sarandon quickly made sure that no photographers got a snap of the intimate moment.
This is when the Parks and Recreation star could be seen telling her friend that "it's a girl."
Speaking back in April, Plaza announced that she was expecting her first child with her partner, Chris Abbott.
The couple have managed to keep their relationship away from the press, having first worked together on the 2020 film Black Bear, before co-starring in the 2023-2024 off-Broadway play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.
While Plaza likes to keep her personal life under wraps, she admitted in a 2023 interview with The New York Times that she had met her new partner while working on the play, that same year.
She recalled: "He cares, but he also doesn't care; it's the best recipe for me for a scene partner,
"It's fun, and it's also good, and it's also safe. I like to just throw things out the window, also, and laugh and mess around and not take it so seriously.
"It's a hard combo to come by, we're both unafraid to be ugly and weird and strange."
The happy news of Plaza's baby comes over a year after the tragic death of the actor's former husband, Jeff Baena, who died at the age of 47 on January 3, 2025.
She had started dating Baena in 2011, finally tying the knot in 2021, before privately separating in September 2024 after a storied professional and personal relationship, having worked on The Little Hours in 2017, among other titles.
Plaza and Baena's family released a statement after his death, reading: "This is an unimaginable tragedy.
"We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time."
Back in August 2025, Plaza opened up on the tough period while on the Good Hang podcast, hosted by former Parks and Recreation co-star Amy Poehler.
She explained: "Right in this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,
"Overall, I'm here, and I'm functioning."
She added: "At all times, there's a giant ocean of just awfulness that's just right there, and I can see it.
"Sometimes I just want to dive into it and be in it. And sometimes I look at it, and sometimes I just try to get away from it, but it's always there," as Plaza said she was "okay."
