Jason Alexander, the ex-husband of Britney Spears who broke into her Los Angeles home on her wedding day, has been handed an emergency restraining order.

Spears, 40, and her model beau, Sam Asghari, 28, tied the knot on Thursday, June 9 in a ceremony at their Thousand Oaks home in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately, for the pair, the 'Toxic' singer's ex-husband, who she was married to for just 55 hours in 2004, tried to crash their wedding and was allegedly 'armed with a knife'.

Mathew Rosengart, a lawyer for Spears, confirmed to People that 40-year-old Alexander was "incarcerated" and is under an Emergency Protective Order.

"This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately Britney is safe and she was a stunning and happy bride," Rosengart said in a statement.

According to documents obtained by ET, Rosengart filed a restraining order against Alexander on behalf of Spears and Asghari, saying he “ran on property into house while armed with a knife.”

The documents also state that Alexander “has continually trespassed on her property” and that he was “advised multiple times” that he was “not welcome.”

The restraining order was granted to the newlyweds on Thursday and it will continue to be in effect until June 17.

As per the order, Alexander must stay at least 100 yards away from Spears and Asghari and at least 100 yards away from their home.

In a statement to ET, Rosengart says Alexander, who is set to make an appearance in court on Tuesday afternoon, remains in custody.

He went on to say that he is grateful to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office “for their prompt and good work and look forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he should be. This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately Britney is safe and she was a stunning and happy bride.”

In any case, their couple's wedding was a star-studded affair, with guests reportedly including Donatella Versace, Selena Gomez, Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton, and Kathy Hilton.

Congratulations to Spears and Asghari!
