Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly drawn a legal line in the sand with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
According to The Sun, the 26-year-old, who allegedly blocked his whole family on Instagram, sent a "desist" letter to his parents, instructing them to communicate only through legal channels.
A source told the outlet: “Truly, people do not know the full facts of this heart-breaking tale, and think Brooklyn was just being truculent when he blocked his parents.
"The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately not publicly," they alleged.
Brooklyn, a model and photographer, reportedly felt ignored by his parents, who continued to mention him online instead of reaching out to him behind the scenes.
“For their part, David and Victoria have simply tried to let their beloved eldest son know the door is always open, and that they still care,” the source added.
Efforts to reconnect were made, including an invitation for Brooklyn to attend his father's knighthood ceremony in November.
Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn’s wife, was also invited to the celebratory dinner, but the couple declined.
Despite the rift, the pair's oldest son is said to still be in contact with his grandparents and is trying to shield them from the fallout.
“Brooklyn absolutely adores them and knows how much pain this is causing everyone. So he has reached out in his own time, but tried to keep it low-key so as not to drag them into it,” the insider revealed.
David makes an emotional social media move
In what some are calling a public olive branch, David surprised fans at the end of 2025 by sharing touching tributes that included Brooklyn, despite the ongoing tensions.
The posts marked a difference from earlier in the year when Brooklyn was left out of major family moments - including David’s 50th birthday and a celebratory highlights reel.
The former soccer star posted a black-and-white image showing his wife cuddling Harper while Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz surrounded her.
“You are my life. I love you all, love daddy. On to 2026 x,” he captioned it. In another post, a selfie with Brooklyn cheek to cheek was simply captioned: “I love you all so much.”
Notably, Brooklyn had been absent from the 53-year-old's original end-of-year recap, which celebrated his knighthood and ownership victory in the MLS.
“I feel very lucky to have had the year I’ve had in 2025... But as Sir Alex Ferguson would say ‘On to the next,’” David wrote, without naming Brooklyn.
Brooklyn and Nicola Skipped Christmas
The couple skipped Christmas with the family, opting instead to stay in the US, sharing cozy snaps in matching outfits.
Back in the UK, David and Victoria danced in the Cotswolds to Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb’s 'Guilty,' sharing the lyric, “And we’ve got nothing to be sorry for...” in a move that didn’t go unnoticed.
The couple also missed the wedding of Brooklyn’s childhood friend, Holly Ramsay, which the entire Beckham family attended. Victoria even designed the dress worn by Holly’s mother.
Speculation about the root of the family divide continues to point back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding.
Nicola previously explained: “I was going to [wear a Victoria Beckham wedding dress] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.
"She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that," she added, cited by The Mirror.
Brooklyn added: “I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
