Brooklyn Beckham shares another savage swipe at mom Victoria with heartfelt tribute to mother-in-law
Victoria Beckham faced another painful sign of her ongoing rift with her eldest son, Brooklyn, after he publicly praised his mother-in-law just as Mother’s Day was being marked across the UK.
While David Beckham, Victoria, and daughter Harper all shared warm posts to celebrate the occasion, the 27-year-old remained silent about his own mother.
Instead, he used Instagram to honor his wife Nicola Peltz’s mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, whose birthday was on March 12.
Brooklyn Praises Claudia
Brooklyn shared a picture of himself with his wife and her mother on Instagram after the family gathering in the US.
He captioned the post: "Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day."
Nicola also posted her own tribute to the 71-year-old, writing: "Happy Birthday to my mom! The pure fact that I get to call you mom makes me truly, the luckiest ever. I'm so happy I got to spend your special day with you.
"I love celebrating you - your light is so bright, you make everything better in this world," she continued. "I love you more than you will ever understand. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!"
Meanwhile, back in the UK, David shared a throwback photo of his 51-year-old wife while she was pregnant and shared a heartfelt message.
The 50-year-old football icon wrote: "Happy Mother's Day to the most amazing mummy..... You are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children...
"We love you so much, and I'm so thankful for the family we have created. Have a special Mother's Day because if there's one person that deserves it, it's you. I love you @victoriabeckham," he added.
Harper also posted a loving message to her mother alongside a photo of them together.
It read: "Happy Mother's Day to the best mum ever. Thank you for being there for me, supporting me and putting up with me even on my worst days. I don't say it enough, but I am really grateful for everything you do for me every single day. I love you so much and I hope you have the best day because you deserve it," per Daily Mail.
Victoria and David also shared separate posts honoring their own mothers, Jackie and Sandra.
Birthday Messages Reportedly Deepened Family Tension
The Mother’s Day silence follows Brooklyn’s recent birthday, which also became a flashpoint in the family feud.
Earlier this month, his parents both wished him a happy 27th birthday on social media despite the ongoing fallout.
The Man United legend posted childhood photos and wrote: “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x."
Victoria shared one of the same images and added: “Happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much,” before later posting another picture of herself with her son and several heart emojis.
But according to reports, Brooklyn and Nicola were unhappy that the messages were made public.
A source told ET: "Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday. These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.
"Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers," they added.
Brooklyn’s Scathing Statement
The strained relationship became public in January when the aspiring photographer posted a six-page Instagram statement explaining why he wanted to distance himself from his family.
In the message, he accused his parents of putting image before genuine family relationships.
"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," he wrote. "The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."
He added: "Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out."
David had also tried to extend an olive branch on New Year’s Eve when he shared a family photo roundup and wrote: "I love you all so much." Victoria later reshared the post with a heart emoji.
Recent reports suggest that Brooklyn remains estranged from his parents but is still on speaking terms with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary, with whom he has reportedly been in regular contact.
