Harper Beckham has made a heartfelt public gesture toward her older brother Brooklyn as tensions continue to simmer within the famous family.
The 14 year old shared a series of Instagram photos featuring herself alongside Brooklyn and her brothers Romeo and Cruz in what appeared to be an effort to bridge the growing divide.
Though the posts were initially visible only to the 93 followers of her private account, they quickly reached a far wider audience after her mother, Victoria, 51, reposted them to her 33.5 million followers.
The sweet snapshots stood in contrast to reports that Brooklyn, 26, is currently estranged from parts of his family.
Despite claims that he feels “protective” over his younger sister, the pair are not believed to be in contact, and he does not follow her on Instagram. It is also unclear whether he may have blocked her account.
Harper makes a public show of support
In one Valentine’s Day message, Harper wrote: “I love you all so much, words can’t describe it."
In another affectionate tribute to her siblings, she described them as “the best big brothers in the whole wide world.”
Her posts arrived at a time when relations between Brooklyn and the rest of the Beckham family appear strained.
While Harper was not mentioned in his recent public remarks, there is hope that she and other relatives could help ease tensions between Brooklyn and his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, 31, and the rest of the Beckham family.
Brooklyn seemed to overlook his sister’s online outreach, instead sharing a delayed Valentine’s Day tribute dedicated to Nicola, in which he pledged to “forever protect and love you”.
Gordon Ramsay speaks out on reconciliation hopes
The family rift has also drawn in close friend Gordon Ramsay. The TV chef, who shares a long standing bond with the Beckhams, recently unfollowed Brooklyn after speaking publicly about his desire to see the family reunited.
Describing his relationship with Brooklyn as “solid”, Gordon told The Sun: “I just want Brooklyn to take a moment to himself.
“And remember: you’re half mum, half dad. And you’re an amazing young man. Time’s going to be the best healer.”
Legal letters and social media fallout intensify feud
The backdrop to Harper’s touching posts is an escalating dispute that has spilled into both legal channels and social media.
Brooklyn reportedly sent a legal letter to his parents, Victoria and David, 50, requesting that all communication go through lawyers.
He also issued a public statement criticizing his parents and alleging that Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, had been “sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me”.
