Bruce Willis' daughter, Scout LaRue Willis, has received an outpouring of support from fans after sharing a touching moment with her father.

The 32-year-old daughter of Bruce and Demi Moore took to Instagram over the Thanksgiving weekend to share a video alongside her famous dad.

As many of you may know, the 68-year-old Die Hard star retired from acting last year after revealing he had been struggling with aphasia - a brain disorder that affects speech and comprehension. Sadly, Willis' family revealed in February of this year that, after undergoing further tests, the actor had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).

Since then, many of his family members - including his wife Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and daughters Scout LaRue, Rumer, and Tallulah - have spoken out about how the entire family is learning to live with Bruce's health battle.

In fact, wife Emma often shares updates on how she is learning to care for her husband - sharing the good and the bad time.

And like many families, the Willis clan got together this Thanksgiving to celebrate, with Emma sharing a heartwarming photo of the group.

Another member of the family who shared an update with fans was Scout LaRue, who shared a video to her Instagram Stories showing her sitting next to her father, as he grabbed her hand. She then shared a photo of her resting her head in Bruce's hand.

However, although the posts were full of love, there were many social media users who found it "painful" and difficult seeing The Sixth Sense star looking so different to how we're all used to seeing him.

The video can be seen below - some readers may find it upsetting:

Although there were several comments from people commenting that Scout LaRue should never have shared the video online, there were many others who praised her for doing so, as it helped highlight that - even through the most difficult times - there's still a lot of love to be found.

"His daughter is showing that as heartbreaking as dementia is, there are still happy moments together as a family. He is still alive," one person commented on SmoothRadio's repost of the video.

A second added: "It’s extremely sad but it should be shared, it shows their support but also spreads awareness."

"Sharing this journey with such a well-known respected man will demystify and educate. It is not something to be ‘kept secret behind closed doors’ it’s part of so many [people's] lives, there is nothing degrading about showing the demise in this disease, the only thing degrading is the appalling attitude of some folk," commented a third.

Another lengthy comment explained: "For those that say the family shouldn’t film this, is wrong. I applaud the family because it spreads awareness. Frontal lobe dementia was originally known as Pick’s disease and is not a common dementia. [...]  Sometimes it takes someone famous to help bring awareness which can lead to helping other families down the road. My heart breaks for Bruce’s family because I know what they are going through as my brother-in-law passed away seven years ago from this at the age of 43. [...] When filming a person with this disease the family has a treasure to look back on because the person they knew before the sickness shines through for a brief moment."

Whatever your thoughts are on the post, it's wonderful to see Bruce surrounded by so much love over the holidays.
