Cameron Diaz issued warning to women who want to laser their pubic hair
Cameron Diaz once advised women against shaving their private areas for one huge reason.
The seasoned actress may have stayed out of the public spotlight for a decade or so, but The Mask star is still considered a Hollywood A-lister.
Back in 2014, she wrote and released a fitness, diet, and beauty book titled 'The Body Book', where Diaz not only shares her opinions on several health trends, but doesn't hold back at all.
Now 54, the actress is known for sharing her honest thoughts on topics, and her comments 12 years ago were no different.
Diaz spoke about laser hair removal as one of the talking points in her book, which she described as a 'crazy idea'.
Cameron Diaz on laser hair removal
Diaz wrote, as per Us magazine: "I hear that there's a big fad these days of young women undergoing laser hair removal on all of their lady bits."
She has an entire chapter titled, 'In Praise of Pubes', which is dedicated to encouraging women to avoid permanently removing their hair.
The mom of three penned: "It’s a personal decision, but I’m just putting it out there: Consider leaving your vagina fully dressed, ladies,
"Let’s be honest: Just like every other part of your body, your labia majora is not immune to gravity."
She added: "I know you may think you'll be wearing the same style of shoes forever and the same style of jeans forever, but you won't,
"The idea that vaginas are preferable in a hairless state is a pretty recent phenomenon. All fads change, people."
Whether her warning worked is unknown, but it's clear that she feels strongly about the topic.
Diaz spoke about her 'terrible skin'
The actress also revealed to fans that she suffered from acne and bad skin, like many others.
She wrote of the skin condition: "It was embarrassing, and I did everything I could think of to make it go away,
"I tried to cover it with makeup. I tried to get rid of it with medication: oral, topical, even the harshest prescriptions. Nothing helped for very long."
Diaz further explained: "Looking back, I realize that I hadn’t needed those prescription drugs, those vials of potions and creams,
"I hadn’t needed to be angry at my skin or feel bad about myself. I had just needed to LISTEN TO MY BODY."
Following the release of her first book, the actress would write a follow-up, titled 'The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time', which came out in 2016.
Cameron Diaz revealed unusual name for her third child
Diaz and husband Benji Madden announced the arrival of their third child in May, who like the preceding two, was given a unique name.
The couple already share six-year-old daughter Raddix and two-year-old son Cardinal.
Writing in an Instagram post, Madden penned: "Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child, Nautas Madden."
He also posted a nautical-themed illustration featuring a pirate ship in full sail with the baby's name.
There were also drawings of a cardinal bird and a potted plant, believed to represent each of the couple's three children.
According to the announcement graphic shared by Madden, the name 'Nautas' is drawn from the Latin word 'nauta,' meaning sailor.
The full definition included in the post described the name as: "Sailor, navigator, voyager, one who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown."
