Charlize Theron pens heartfelt message to Keanu Reeves on his 56th birthday

Charlize Theron took to Instagram yesterday (September 2nd) to declare her love for Keanu Reeves on his birthday.

"I love this handsome human so much! Happy birthday, Keanu. You’re just the best!" she captioned a sweet snap of the pair.

Reeves, who has starred in two movies with Theron, celebrated his 56th birthday on Wednesday.

Fans were quick to tell the actors how great they looked together, and also pushed for another film collaboration.

"We need a reunion in the John Wick or Atomic Blonde universe," wrote one fan, while another added: "I'd always hoped you two would get married in real life. You have great on-screen chemistry and look so cute together!"

"You are both breathtaking!! Happy Birthday Keanu! I just watch John Wick 1-3 all week back to back and over again! [sic]," wrote a third.

The pair starred in the film, Sweet November, and in the thriller, Devil's Advocate.

Well wishes for the Canadian actor - who found fame through his roles in high action franchises including The Matrix and the John Wick series - poured in from across the globe.

One fan jokingly shared a series of pictures of Reeves on Twitter with the caption: "The legend is immortal."
