Being a celebrity means living practically without cease in the effervescent glare of public perception.
Sure, at times, that can represent a pleasant warm glow of praise and adoration from a legion of fans. Yet fame can be both a coruscating and an excoriating heat. Social media has given us all far more access to the rich and famous than any previous generation has enjoyed, but the sting in the tail of that access is all-too-often the relentless abuse and negative comments celebrities are forced to contend with from trolls.
Chrissy Teigen recently posted a lockdown "thirst-trap":Chrissy Teigen has long demonstrated her prowess in dealing with trolls who provide negative commentary on her social media posts. What's more, is Teigen has used her social platforms to share candid and honest pictures and videos with her fans, something she has become much loved and appreciated for.
In the past, she's tweeted about the realities of her giving birth, writing, "I can confirm postpartum life is 90% better when you don't rip to your butthole. Baby boy: 1 point. Luna: 0"
And two weeks ago, Teigen revealed that she had undergone surgery to have her breast implants removed.
Back in March, the model spoke to Glamour about the reasons she'd had the implants in the first place and why she now wanted to have them removed.
"I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old.
"It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I'm going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed."
And now, Teigen has shared an Instagram post of her latest pap smear test, to remind people of their importance in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
"don’t forget to keep up with your paps and have your boobs touched even though the world is ending!!" She wrote.
And fans applauded her candid message and photo. "Yes Chrissy, we all need to get reminded to self care!" wrote one commenter, while another added, "Thanks for the reminder!!! Scheduling my appt. today!"
