Back in early November, singer Demi Lovato went public with her new relationship with model Austin Wilson. Since the romantic revelation, the 27-year-old former Disney star appeared smitten with her new partner, sharing snaps from a racy photoshoot (below) and even enjoying a date at Disneyland.
However, it looks as if the 'Cool For The Summer' singer will be seeing in the new decade alone this year, after announcing the couple's split on social media last week. Per Fox News, Lovato took to social media to ask her fans "not go after" Wilson.
"He’s a good guy. Much better than what people see on the outside just because he’s got a lot of tattoos," she said, adding: "Breakups are hard for both parties involved. Just stay nice and say prayers."
Now, with New Year's just days away, it looks as if Lovato wants to enter the new decade with new wings.
Once again adding to her growing collection of inkings, celebrity tattoo artist Allessandro Capozzi shared an image of the 'Sorry, Not Sorry' singer sitting in his chair as he was tasked with Lovato's latest artwork - a piece that showcases Lovato's remarkable inner strength.
Demi also has remarkable physical strength - even knocking her trainer's tooth out in the gym:Capozzi later posted the finished piece to his Instagram page, aptly named 'Divine Feminine'.
The full caption read: "For the incredible @ddlovato 'Divine Feminine' Destruction Effect ?????
"We created this piece together to represent a rebirth of the spirit. The dark wings represent the bad times, their fading away is how she moved forward. The light from within represents the inner strength necessary for the change and the doves, pulling her up, symbolize the reach of an higher state of consciousness. Congratulations on your inspiring journey Demi, honored to have represented this for you. [sic]"
And this isn't the only new inking Lovato has received this month - as she was also tattooed by famed artist Doctor Woo. The
Lovato's new tattoo can be found on her neck and reads "survivor".
The new inkings come after a couple of difficult years for the singer - including a near-fatal drug overdose back in July of 2018.
Demi opens up about her battles with addiction:Speaking at the Teen Vogue Summit in Los Angeles in November, Lovato proudly announced:
"Over the past five years, I've learned life is not worth living unless you're living for yourself. If you're trying to be someone you're not, or you're trying to please other people, it's not going to work out in the long run.
"If you want to dye your hair purple, dye your hair purple. If you want to love someone of the same sex, love someone of the same sex. Be yourself and don't be afraid of what people think."
