Drew Barrymore has opened up about her Playboy photo shoot and has revealed that her daughter brings it up in arguments.

During the latest episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the renowned actress disclosed that her daughter has been using her own history against her during arguments over what is classed as appropriate clothing.

The 49-year-old star, who has two daughters, Olive aged 11 and Frankie aged nine, with ex-husband Will Kopelman, shared with guest Christina Aguilera how her daughter referenced her iconic 1995 Playboy cover in disputes over clothing choices.

Barrymore recounted: "My daughter wants to wear a crop top. I'll say, 'No,' and she'll go, 'You were on the cover of Playboy.'"

While Barrymore didn't specify which daughter made the remark, Aguilera, herself a mother of a nine-year-old daughter named Summer, empathized with the situation.

Reflecting on her own experiences, Aguilera acknowledged: "My daughter wants to wear a crop top, too, and I’m just like, 'Can we just pull it down?' I see myself doing that."

Both celebrity moms confirmed they have no regrets regarding their past risqué moments. Aguilera stated: "We were expressing ourselves and how we felt was best for us I think, at the time," while Barrymore responded: "I loved every minute of it."

Aguilera further emphasized the importance of self-empowerment and body positivity, remarking: "It’s empowering being a female and embracing your body and everything that makes you feel good or womanly. However that is for yourself to be able to embrace that.”

This isn't the first time Barrymore has discussed her decision to pose for Playboy. In a previous episode in February 2023, she spoke about reclaiming her power through the experience, expressing: "I felt like when I was doing Playboy I was taking my power back."

During the same interview, Barrymore became emotional discussing the challenges of raising children in the public eye, highlighting the unfairness of subjecting them to paparazzi scrutiny they never signed up for, as reported by Page Six.

In other Barrymore news, she left her co-host Ross Mathews visibly flustered when she revealed the nickname for her areolas.

The awkward exchange occurred during a segment called Gimme the Brief, where Barrymore and Mathews joined Drive-Away Dolls stars Margaret Qualley, Beanie Feldstein, and Geraldine Viswanathan for some lighthearted fun.

As Mathews introduced the game's premise, Feldstein kicked off by answering a question about her ideal historical figure, mentioning Eleanor Roosevelt. However, the hilarity ensued when Barrymore chose a briefcase requesting euphemisms for private body parts.

In a candid moment, Barrymore shared her own euphemism, recalling a breast cancer awareness segment where she affectionately referred to her nipples as "little sausages".

Mathews, visibly taken aback, was met with Barrymore's remark: "Is that 'cause you’re gay or 'cause it didn’t look good?"

The quick-witted Mathews replied: "Yes to both."
