Talulah Riley, Elon Musk's ex-wife has announced her engagement to the British actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster.

Riley, 37, the ex-wife of billionaire Elon Musk, has recently revealed her engagement to Brodie-Sangster, 33, best known for his role in The Maze Runner series and Love Actually.

This is Riley's third marriage, having tied the knot with Musk twice - after they called it quits two years after their 2010 marriage, but then remarried the year after, before calling it off for good in 2016.

When questioned about their unusual decision to remarry, Riley candidly explained to The Independent: "I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married."

She went on: "You know, it's like a habit. We were saying 'This is my husband.' 'This is my wife.' 'Oh, wait, no, we're not that anymore. We better be that again.' You know, it felt silly to go back to 'this is my boyfriend' when we've been married. So, we just got married again."

Riley has found love again though, and this time it's with Brodie-Sangster. Breaking the news on social media, the happy couple shared an adorable photo together on Thursday evening (27 July), as Riley penned: "Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged."

The couple has been dating for two years and reportedly met during the filming of the miniseries Pistol, where they portrayed fashion designers Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren.

Riley has praised her former husband, Musk, as the "perfect ex-husband." During their marriage, she took an active role in caring for his five children from his previous marriage with Justine Musk.

Riley reminisced about those days, saying: "I mean, there were the rockets and the cars, and there were things blowing up… there was a lot going on – a lot that was very stimulating. We [her and Musk's children] were very involved in what was going on. It was a group effort. A family-wide effort.

"Elon was great. He had me alongside for all of that. So it wasn't like I was stuck in a mansion in Bel Air like a trophy wife, which would not have been fun," she went on.

"I did, of course, witness that for others. But luckily, that was not my fate. We are in a happy place now, where we're good to each other, which is really nice. I have the utmost love for him."

Even though Musk and Riley went their separate ways, their platonic relationship remains strong as they were even spotted together in Paris last month.

We're sure that Musk will be thrilled that Riley is set to tie the knot with someone as loving as Brodie-Sangster - and he even tweeted his congratulations to the happy couple too!
