Emily Ratajkowski has joined the chorus of voices weighing in on a question that continues to fascinate pop culture watchers: What exactly is it about Pete Davidson?

The comedian and former Saturday Night Live star has dated a string of high-profile women, including Kate Beckinsale, Ariana Grande, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Margaret Qualley, Kim Kardashian, and even Ratajkowski herself.

But for those wondering why Davidson appears to be catnip to beautiful women, the model and actress has offered her own explanation for why the comedian/actor is one of Hollywood’s greatest heartthrobs.

“He’s lovely. He’s vulnerable. He’s super charming.”

Speaking during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Ratajkowski, who worked with Davidson on a campaign shoot in September, described him as “super charming.”

"He's a professional," she said. "First of all, you should know that about Pete."

When Meyers joked about what it’s like working with guys who aren’t models, Ratajkowski was quick to clarify that Davidson absolutely has the looks.

"Pete – he's got the height," she said. "Obviously women find him very attractive."

She continued: “Guys are like, ‘Wow. What's that guy got?’ And I'm like, I mean, he seems super charming. He's vulnerable. He's lovely. His fingernail polish is awesome. He looks good.”

She also noted that he has a “super great relationship with his mom.”

Davidson’s romantic history reads like a who's who of entertainment. He was previously engaged to pop superstar Ariana Grande, and later dated model Kaia Gerber, actress Margaret Qualley, and Bridgerton breakout Phoebe Dynevor.

He dated Kim Kardashian for nine months, following her split from Kanye West. Their relationship began after Kardashian hosted SNL, where the two shared an onscreen kiss during a Jasmine and Aladdin sketch. A few weeks later, they were photographed holding hands on a rollercoaster in California.

Since then, Davidson has also been linked with actress Chase Sui Wonders, model Emily Ratajkowski, and most recently, model Elsie Hewitt - who he is now expecting his first child with.

Body language expert Judi James told MailOnline that Davidson’s “big d*** energy,” a term popularized by Ariana Grande, may be part of the appeal - but there's more to it.

"In a world of controlling exes this could be like therapy for the women," James said. "Pete is the guy with the goofy grin and the body language and fashion finesse of a party-loving teenager."

She continued: "Not only does Pete look like a man who is continually punching above his weight, he acts like it too with his body language. He tends to look star-struck in a very flattering way."

"The more beautiful a woman is the more she tends to attract the arrogant narcissist. Pete looks like the opposite, which could be refreshing."

She also pointed out that comedy carries its own kind of alpha energy.

"Comedy gives off an 'alpha vibe' to women," James said, “and it can be comforting in a world where celebrities take themselves too seriously.”

According to relationship expert Amber Kelleher-Andrews, Davidson's success with women also boils down to something more fundamental: he’s genuinely funny.

“He makes a career as a comedian, he's a funny guy,” she told the Daily Mail. “And it turns out that people really like people who can make them laugh and feel like they're having a good time.”

Kelleher-Andrews pointed to medical research showing that laughter has positive effects on physical health, including improving longevity.

“The International Journal of Medical Sciences… discovered when researching 730 participants between the ages of 18 and 39, that one can physically ‘laugh yourself into a healthier person,’” she explained.

Kelleher-Andrews added that Davidson avoids the trappings of typical Hollywood charm.

“Many comedians come off as arrogant, sarcastic, intimidating, and guarded,” she said. “But Davidson's not like that.”

“He comes across as ‘comfortably charming’ and ‘approachable,’” she added. “Women feel like they can have an interaction with him and come away having been charmed and amused.”

What truly sets Davidson apart, according to her, is his emotional honesty.

“Pete Davidson wears his heart on his sleeve,” she said. “He has been very open and candid about his difficult past, and because of this transparency women are drawn to his innocence.”

"They want to 'help' him or 'fix' him. It is his cute puppy dog demeanor that gives him a genuine persona making him more relatable," she concluded.

Davidson’s dating résumé continues to spark disbelief online. As writer Kristen Mulrooney noted in a viral tweet: “I love how every time Pete Davidson starts dating another beautiful celebrity everyone's like 'wtf is happening how did he do this what is this mystery???' and everybody refuses to entertain the possibility that he might have a nice personality.”

Between his self-deprecating humor, public vulnerability, and unassuming charm, Davidson represents a type of romantic lead rarely seen in celebrity culture - a fact that may explain why, for so many women, he’s hard to resist.
