Comedian Pete Davidson and model Elsie Hewitt are expecting their first child, the couple confirmed this week via social media.
Hewitt, 29, shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday with the caption: “welp now everyone knows we had sex.”
The post included a series of images showing Hewitt undergoing an ultrasound, a sonogram of the baby, and several photos of the couple together.
According to Page Six, the baby is due in early winter.
Davidson, 31, best known for his work on Saturday Night Live, first went public with his relationship with Hewitt in March 2025, when the two were photographed on vacation in Florida.
By May, the couple were reportedly discussing moving in together. Hewitt was later seen attending one of Davidson’s stand-up comedy shows in June.
Being a father is something Davidson has spoken about previously, telling Kevin Hart on his podcast Hart to Heart in 2022 that he wanted to be a dad.
“[I’m] definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I’ve yet to achieve, is I want to have a kid," he said, "that’s like my dream.”
Prior to dating Davidson, Hewitt had been romantically linked to several public figures. She dated music producer Benny Blanco, now engaged to singer Selena Gomez, after appearing in the 2019 music video for Blanco and Juice WRLD’s track “Graduation.”
More recently, in early 2024, she was linked to actor Jason Sudeikis after the pair were photographed embracing outside a nightclub in West Hollywood, per US Weekly.
Davidson’s dating history has also drawn frequent media attention. Before beginning his relationship with Hewitt, ELLE reports he was briefly involved with Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline.
Over the past several years, he has been in high-profile relationships with Kim Kardashian, Kaia Gerber, Chase Sui Wonders, Phoebe Dynevor, and Kate Beckinsale. He was also famously engaged to singer Ariana Grande in 2018. That engagement ended after four months.
News of the couple’s pregnancy comes less than a year after Davidson reportedly checked into a rehabilitation center to continue treatment for ongoing mental health challenges. Davidson has spoken openly in the past about being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
“Pete will often check himself into rehab to work on these issues,” a source told PEOPLE in 2023. “His friends and family have been supportive during this time.” He reportedly entered treatment again in August 2024 as part of his ongoing mental health care plan.
