Emily Ratajkowski has candidly implied that she believes anyone who isn't a fan of Taylor Swift is a "misogynist".
The 32-year-old model opened up about her her newfound admiration for Taylor Swift's musical prowess, marking a significant shift from her earlier stance on the pop star's music which she wasn't a huge fan.
During a candid conversation with Troye Sivan on her podcast, High Low with EmRata, the 32-year-old discussed her evolving perspective on Swift's work, which included making some pretty big statements.
"I kind of grew up [with] a little snobbery around my generation," Ratajkowski shared with her podcast guest, who happens to be a friend of Swift. She admitted that she wasn't initially drawn to pop music and had some reservations.
While Ratajkowski once believed that popularity didn't necessarily equate to quality, her views have since evolved. "Actually, a lot of times the things that are popular are actually just incredibly good. I came around... It changed it for me completely," she said.

Ratajkowski's transformation in musical taste became particularly apparent when discussing Taylor Swift. "I was not a Swiftie and now I'm like, 'You know what that means? That means I was a misogynist that I didn't f*** with Taylor Swift'," she expressed.
Attending one of Swift's Eras Tour concerts marked a turning point for Ratajkowski. She was awestruck by Swift's songwriting skills and on-stage charisma, leading her to revise her opinion of the artist.
"If you don't like Taylor Swift, then, like, you don't understand things," Ratajkowski passionately defended Swift, emphasizing the artist's multifaceted talents.
People seemed a bit confused by the model's statements, as they flocked to social media to express their thoughts on the matter.
"Like Taylor really don’t be doing anything for the hate she gets. I wouldn’t go so far to call anyone a misogynist, but the hate is DEFINITELY forced," one person said.
A second added: "It’s fine to be a fan and acknowledge her talent but the logic here is interesting," while a third said: "That’s kind extreme…I don’t think not liking taylor swift makes you a misogynist lol…"
Ratajkowski has previously come to Swift's defense, particularly in the face of resurfaced interviews. She commended Swift's handling of uncomfortable questions during a 2012 interview with Ellen DeGeneres.
Reflecting on the incident with Elle, Ratajkowski praised Swift's clarity in addressing discomfort and commented on the societal challenges faced by femme-presenting individuals.
"Watching that [interview], I was so struck by how clear she's being about what is making her uncomfortable," Ratajkowski said. "I think the lens that I would've viewed that interview from 10 years ago versus now has evolved so much, which is why is struck me. I was in bed falling asleep and commented on it, not because I thought it was going to make headlines at all."
"She's another example of a woman who has been faced with such blatant misogyny and sexism, and yet we don't want to admit that, because she's powerful and successful, and also she's white"
"There's a bunch of reasons, which I think are fair and important to bring up in the conversation, but that clip, in particular, was just so striking to me because she was communicating very clearly about why she didn't feel comfortable with what was happening.
"And it was making everyone laugh. It actually upset me. And I think that just even that speaks to a larger thing I've noticed, where people don't listen to femme-presenting people."
Swift has reportedly pulled in over $100 million from her Eras Tour, so it's evident that she has an abundance of fans.
