Eminem appears to have responded to Gen Z's attempt to "cancel" him for his "misogynistic" and "homophobic" lyrics.

It all started with a TikTok video about the 'Lose Yourself' rapper (which has since been removed from the platform), but not before racking up over a million views.

In the video, the original poster referenced the fact that many other content creators on the platform had called his lyrics "toxic", writing: "To everyone that is canceling him I literally love u."

She added: "Yesssss let's cancel him."

Playing in the background of her video is Eminem's part in 'Love the Way You Lie', a collab he did with Rihanna back in 2010.

In the song, the father-of-two raps this line deemed by many to be "problematic": "If she ever tries to f**king leave again / I’mma tie her to the bed and set this house on fire."

The TikToker's video garnered even more attention when it became the center of a conflict between some Millenial stans and some Gen Z cancel culture advocates.

Leading the fightback was this Twitter user who wrote a rap, slamming Gen Z for trying to "cancel" the popular rapper:

And it now appears Eminem is aware of the drama over his "problematic" lyrics. In fact, he released a new animated video for his 2020 song 'Tone Deaf', in which he seemingly references Gen Z's attempt to "cancel" him.

Check it out here:

Seemingly addressing the drama, the 48-year-old raps:

"I can’t understand a word you say, I’m tone deaf. I think this way I prefer stay, I’m tone deaf. I won’t stop even when my hair turns grey, I’m tone deaf. ‘Cause they won’t stop until they cancel me."

A number of Eminem's fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Eminem's response, with one writing: "This is a wonderful response to Gen Z last (failed) attempt to cancel Eminem... We love our petty boy Marshall."

One member of Gen Z, who also happens to be a fan of the 'Kim' hitmaker, defended his generation: "Gen Z and tik tok is very different, in gen Z and I grew up with artists like em.

"I don't get triggered over baby things I'm not a snowflake, and 90% of people I know around my age aren't snowflakes either."

Another agreed: "Yes of course we don't have to generalize. There are a lot of gen Z who love Em. I guess It's just Tik Tok that's so dumb."

In other news, Eminem’s child Stevie revealed in November that they’re in their first serious relationship after coming out as non-binary

Stevie is the biological child of Eminem's ex-wife Kim Scott, and her former boyfriend Eric Hartter - whom she dated between her two marriages to the famed rapper.

The 51-year-old 'Lose Yourself' hitmaker - whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III - legally adopted Stevie back in 2005 after he got back together with Scott. The couple remarried in 2006 but divorced again by the end of the year.

Eminem also has two other children: 27-year-old Hailie Jade Mathers and 30-year-old Alaina Marie Mathers - who was also adopted by the 'Real Slim Shady' rapper in the early 2000s when her mother, Dawn Scott, was struggling with drug use.

Recently, Steve made an appearance on their older sister Hailie’s podcast titled, Just a Little Shady, and opened up about their personal life - including their love life after identifying as non-binary.

They revealed that they now have a boyfriend, sharing: "He moved in with me last year, like December. It’s going really well, we’ve been together like two years now." Stevie explained that they were long-distance "for a while" which their sister found "crazy".

"It’s hard but I feel like if you really have a connection with someone it can work, especially if you make time for it to work," Stevie said. "It’s a pretty hard thing but it’s a lot easier and it’s worth it once you get to live together and actually experience those things."
