A resurfaced video has people convinced that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was checking Justin Bieber for a wire when they met up.
It was reported last week that the now 54-year-old hip-hop mogul will stay behind bars until his trial for sex trafficking charges begins.
Combs, who pleaded not guilty, was denied bail after offering a bond worth $50 million on Tuesday (September 17).
The 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper was arrested on Monday in Manhattan, New York, about half a year after federal authorities carrying out a sex trafficking investigation raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.
Combs has been sued by a number of people who say he physically or sexually abused them.
His former girlfriend, singer Cassie, is one of the women who have made claims against him.
In the wake of the arrest, several videos of Combs and Bieber have resurfaced on social media.
One video, in particular, has drawn significant attention, showing Diddy saying goodbye to Bieber, who recently welcomed his first child.
In the footage, Diddy appears to pat Bieber down, sparking speculation online.
"Diddy appears to be checking Justin Beiber to see if he is wearing a wire in this video," one person wrote.
Some people disagreed, however, as another person said: "Diddy wouldn’t have known if Justin Beiber was wearing a wire in this video just by tapping his chest, there could be more explanation to what he did here."
This isn't the only video featuring Diddy and Bieber to go viral.
Social media users have rediscovered a decade-old video from Bieber’s YouTube channel, in which Diddy speaks about spending "48 hours" with the then-15-year-old pop star.
In the video, Diddy refers to their time together as "a 15-year-old's dream" and says: "For the next 48 hours, he's with me. And we're gonna go full. Buck full crazy."
In another clip, Diddy greets Bieber in a studio, commenting on the young singer’s recent distance from him.
"What’s up man, you good?" Diddy asks, noting Bieber’s success in selling out arenas.
"Starting to act different, huh? You haven’t been calling me and hanging out the way we used to hang out."
A then 16-year-old Bieber responds: "I mean, you tried to get in contact with me throughout all my [projects] and what not - but you never got my number." Bieber then offers to share his number with the rapper.
If convicted, Diddy faces a sentence of 15 years up to life in prison.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, declared his client's innocence, and described the "freak offs" as consensual: "Is it sex trafficking? Not if everybody wants to be there."
Combs will be detained at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial.

Justin Bieber has officially addressed the swirling speculation that he was one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ victims.
In a statement to TMZ on Thursday, a representative for the 31-year-old 'Baby' singer made it clear: “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him.”
The rep added, “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
The comment comes as social media continues to unearth and dissect old footage of Bieber and Combs from over a decade ago, clips that include suggestive remarks and ambiguous behavior during the pop star’s teenage years.
One resurfaced video from 2009 shows the pair standing beside a car outside a house, with Diddy telling the then-15-year-old: "You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy...they’re having the times of their lives, like where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose".
Combs says that he was "given custody" of Bieber and noted: "You know, he’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher’s first album. For the next 48 hours, he’s with me. And we’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy."
The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker says, "Let’s go get some girls," when Diddy asks what he wants to do. "Man after my heart," the rapper responds. "That’s what I’m talking about."
Another bizarre interaction from 2011 showed the music mogul seemingly "warning" the 'One Time' musician while talking about their "friendship" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2011.
“I think that we have become friends in a strange way,” Combs said when the host asked about their relationship. Bieber quipped: “It’s like Rob & Big,” referencing skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin.
“I’m Big and you’re Rob,” the then-teenager continued, to which Combs said: “He’s, to a lot of us, he’s like a little brother. He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He’s somebody that industry-wise, the record industry is a strong family.
“He’s somebody that we definitely have our arms around and we wanna protect him because he’s genuinely such a nice person besides his talents," he praised. “He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever know."
The 'Boyfriend' singer then reached out to shake hands with Combs as the two laughed and pointed to one another.
“You know, Diddy bought his son a Bentley, maybe he could buy you one also while you’re at it,” Kimmel interjected, to which Bieber revealed: “He got me a Lamborghini... I haven’t gotten it yet, though.”
“When is that coming? That Lamborghini,” the talk show host asked. “We talked about this last time.”
“He had the Lamborghini for a day or two, and he had access to the house,” Combs said, before seemingly cautioning the young star: “And he knows better than to be talking about the things that he does with big brother Puff on national television. Everything ain’t for everybody.”
Sources told TMZ these interactions were strictly “performative,” emphasizing there was no relationship beyond Diddy’s connection with Bieber’s friends, including his sons. They insisted Diddy never sexually or otherwise abused Bieber.
Meanwhile, far more serious allegations have been taking center stage in a Manhattan courtroom. The 55-year-old's ex-girlfriend, Cassie, real name Casandra Ventura, has been delivering harrowing testimony against him, detailing years of abuse, blackmail, and sexual coercion.
On May 14, she resumed testimony by recounting a violent episode at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles on March 5, 2016 - just two days before the premiere of her film The Perfect Match.
She told jurors Diddy hit her in the face, forcing her to wear oversized sunglasses at the event “to cover up my eye." Photos shown in court captured visible bruising on her shoulder and shin during the premiere and afterparty, where she appeared alongside Diddy and stars like Queen Latifah.
In text messages, she pleaded with him beforehand: “I have a premiere on Monday for the biggest thing of my life.”
Jurors also saw text messages from March 2016 in which Cassie and Diddy discussed planning a “freak offs” - a term Cassie said referred to sex parties where she was coerced into sleeping with other men under the influence of drugs. Video from that same month later surfaced publicly, showing Combs physically attacking her.
Cassie testified she endured years of “freak offs” out of fear that Combs would hurt her or leak private footage. “I can’t carry the shame, the guilt,” she said. “I was guided to treat people like they were disposable,” per Sky News.
Combs was arrested in September 2024 and now faces multiple charges, including sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy.
Federal authorities allege he ran a violent operation that spanned two decades - abusing, threatening, and coercing victims “to fulfill his sexual desires” between 2004 and 2024, The Independent. He has denied all allegations. His legal team insists that all encounters were consensual.
Last year, Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing her ex-partner of a campaign of violence that included beatings, sexual abuse, and emotional manipulation.
Combs paid $20 million to settle, but the 'Me & U' songstress said it wasn’t about silence, it was about survival. “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” she said, per CBS News.
Her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, praised her courage: “I am very proud of Ms. Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit. She ought to be commended for doing so.”

Unsettling footage of Diddy hanging out with 15-year-old Justin Bieber has resurfaced after the rapper’s homes were raided by Homeland Security.
The rapper and music executive - who is formerly known as Puff Daddy - is facing civil lawsuits over alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking.

The Department of Homeland Security confirmed on Monday (March 25) that agents have raided properties in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York that belong to the 54-year-old.
In a statement, they wrote: "Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners," per The Independent. "We will provide further information as it becomes available."
Fox 11 shared footage of the raid taken from an overhead helicopter that shows multiple unnamed people in handcuffs outside the property.
Homeland Security expert Hal Kempferm told the outlet the evidence they’re looking for includes devices such as laptops, flash drives, and anything that would connect Combs with the allegations.
In a statement through his attorney, Aaron Dyer, Diddy described the raids as a "gross overuse of military-level force" for which there was "no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated".
His legal team insisted he was innocent, and added: "There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name."
Combs is among the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the past three decades. He is the founder of Bad Boy Records and helped launch the career of several artists including Notorious BIG, Mary J Blige, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and 112.
In the wake of the controversy, social media users have begun sharing past videos of the rapper and found 14-year-old footage from Bieber’s YouTube channel in which then-40-year-old Diddy talks about spending "48 hours" with the 'Baby' singer.
"You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy," the music mogul says in the video. "They’re having the times of their lives, like where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream."
Combs says that he was "given custody" of Bieber and noted: "You know, he’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher’s first album. For the next 48 hours, he’s with me. And we’re gonna go full. Buck full crazy."
The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker says "Let’s go get some girls," when Diddy asks what he wants to do. "Man after my heart," the rapper responds. "That’s what I’m talking about."
The bizarre clip circulated on X (formerly Twitter) and garnered reactions from many users. One person said: "It's super creepy seeing all these videos of Diddy that's coming out."
Another commented: "What 40-year-old wants to 'hang out' with a 15-year-old?" while a third added: "That is just strange."
The investigations against Diddy began after his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, filed an explosive lawsuit against him in November 2023, accusing him of physically and sexually abusing her for years.
The father-of-seven settled the lawsuit within a day, but since then, more people have sued Combs, accusing him of a wide range of abusive behavior, including sexual harassment, rape, nonconsensual adult material, and sex trafficking.
Combs took to Instagram to issue a statement denying the damning allegations against him, writing: "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy."
"Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth," he added.
