The One Direction star died aged 31 on October 16, having fallen from a balcony of the third-floor hotel room where he'd been staying in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The singer was not able to be saved after having suffered "internal and external hemorrhaging" as a result of the fall at the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing, with three people having been arrested in the wake of the tragedy.
Now, new images have been released showing some of the singer's final moments before his tragic death.
The Daily Mail obtained photos of the singer appearing to be carried through the hotel lobby by three people, before being helped up to his room in the elevator. We have chosen not to include these images.

Early reports into Payne's death by TMZ had claimed that the star was carried back to his room before staff called the police to report concerns for his safety in a room with a balcony.
Tragically, Payne fell from the third-floor room onto a courtyard below, where he died from his injuries.
A toxicology report later confirmed the star was "not fully conscious" when he fell.
According to reports from People, the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 14 confirmed that the results of the toxicology test after they had been communicated to the One Direction star's family.

The report stated that in the 72 hours before his death, Payne had traces of "alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants" in his body, according to the press release translated from Spanish.
The release also stated that prosecutors ruled out "self-harm of any kind and/or physical intervention by third parties" as contributing factors in his death.

Payne's death was confirmed to be from "multiple trauma" and "internal and external hemorrhage" as a result of the fall, according to a forensic doctor.
The report also concluded that the 'Strip That Down' star was "not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall."
It had previously been reported that Payne may have been unconscious or semi-conscious when he fell from the balcony, with the New York Post reporting that the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 16 said that the position of Payne’s body on the ground, as well as his injuries, indicated he “did not adopt a reflex posture to protect himself” and that he may have “fallen while in a state of semi or total unconsciousness."
Three people were charged in the wake of Payne's death, with "abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics".
