Most celebrities have to put up with being recognized all the time. It's considered something of an occupational hazard if you're a movie star that, when you're out in public, you can only enjoy relative peace and anonymity for about half an hour before someone spots you, and starts begging for a selfie.
However, sometimes celebrities can end up being left embarrassed by the public when they're actually mistaken for someone else. If you don't believe me, then maybe Daniel Radcliffe will change your mind.
Indeed, in a recent appearance on the British chat show The Graham Norton Show, the former Harry Potter star shared the hilarious story of how he was once mistaken for a homeless person.
Appearing along with fellow-actor Alan Cumming to promote their new play, Endgame, Radcliffe stated: "I was in New York recently with my girlfriend and while she was in a shop, I was outside with our adopted dog. It was very cold, and I had on a hoodie, a fleece and then a big coat over the top."
He continued: "Because it was so cold, I knelt down to warm the dog and I saw this guy looking at me and then he walked past me. But then he came back and handed me five dollars and said, 'Get yourself a coffee mate.' Apparently, I need to shave more often!"

It’s also fun."
He added: "I love being on film sets, but you don’t get the raw rush you get on stage. It’s a nice part of my job that I maybe get to introduce people to stuff they might not otherwise see."
In another recent interview, Daniel also shared how he met his girlfriend Erin Darke while filming a racy movie scene.
