Irina Shayk has been criticized after she wore a fake black eye during London Fashion Week on Friday night.
London Fashion Week has attracted a variety of high-profile models, celebs, and designers as they all descend on the English capital to showcase their latest designs.
But of course, when you gather that many public figures in one place, there is bound to be some controversy along the way.
Irina Shayk has been at the center of a wave of social media backlash after a design that she donned on Friday night involved her wearing a fake black eye.
She wore the makeup at the Mowalola SS24 show which was attended by ex Kanye West, and his "wife," Bianca Censori.
Safe to say, the black eye did not sit well with viewers, who took to social media to air their thoughts.
One person wrote: "Giving supermodels a fake black eye is absolutely reprehensible. What an insult to victims of #domesticviolence seeing injuries like this glamorised for public consumption. @MOWALOLA_ should have known better, & #IrenaShayk should have just said NO!"
A second said: "Fetishising and parading a fake black eye on the catwalk is not okay on so many levels. Violence against women is a massive problem around the world, and London Fashion Week thinks it’s okay to trivialise and fetishise that. Disappointed in Irina Shayk for agreeing to this."

A third concluded: "The worst fashion trend I've ever heard of. Incredibly bad taste."
Off the runway, Shayk's love life has been in the spotlight lately, thanks to her relationship with retired NFL star Tom Brady. However, it appears that her ex, Bradley Cooper, with whom she shares a six-year-old daughter named Lea, still holds a place in her heart.
A source claimed to Page Six that while Shayk, 37, enjoys her time with Brady, 46, she still harbors hope of settling down and tying the knot with Cooper, 48. "Years have been put into the relationship," the source said.
Notably, Shayk also shares a romantic history with Kanye West. Their brief fling unfolded in June 2021, just four months after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from the Yeezy CEO.
Shayk and West jetted off to France to celebrate the rapper's 44th birthday that year, as his divorce from the Kardashians star, 42, was still in progress.
However, their relationship fizzled out quickly, with sources revealing that the supermodel only regarded the rapper "as a friend."
As for West, he's been creating a social media storm of his own lately with his behavior in Italy.
The rapper and Censori were caught on camera reportedly engaged in what can only be described as "compromising situations" during a leisurely boat ride along Venice's iconic canals.

In a series of viral photographs, the 46-year-old American rapper unabashedly appeared to reveal his bare buttocks, while his 28-year-old Australian companion, Censori, was pictured in a kneeling position before him.
Additional snapshots depicted the couple in intimate poses aboard a river taxi, provoking both intrigue among their fans and condemnation from their critics.
Never a dull day when Ye is involved.
