Jennifer Lawrence has made some shocking claims that some male co-stars would "punish" her for not wanting to sleep with them.
The Oscar-winning actress shared this surprising insight during a recent conversation about her co-star Robert Pattinson in the new film Die My Love.
Jennifer Lawrence on Robert Pattinson and Intimacy on Set
While discussing her collaboration with Pattinson, Lawrence, 35, explained why she felt so comfortable on set with him.
The two star in the dark comedy-drama Die My Love, which explores the complexities of early parenthood as a couple struggles to maintain their relationship.
Lawrence plays Grace, a writer battling deteriorating mental health, alongside Pattinson, 39, who plays her partner in the film.
During an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, Lawrence explained that she didn’t feel the need for an intimacy coordinator on set, noting that she felt “very safe” with Pattinson.
“We did not have [an intimacy coordinator], or maybe we did but we didn’t really… I felt really safe with Rob,” she said. “He is not pervy and very in love with [partner] Suki [Waterhouse]. We mostly were just talking about our kids and our relationships.”
For Lawrence, the comfort of working with Pattinson meant there was no tension on set, with no concerns about any underlying romantic or sexual interest.
“There wasn’t any weird like, ‘Does he think I like him?’ If there was a little bit of that I would probably have an intimacy coordinator,” she explained.

Shocking Revelations About Hollywood’s Power Dynamics
However, Lawrence then dropped a bombshell about her past experiences with male co-stars.
“A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f**k them, and then the punishment starts. He was not like that,” she said, shocking the podcast hosts, Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.
Yang and Rogers, clearly taken aback, reacted with surprise, with Rogers quipping: “Just a little cute social punishment.”
Lawrence then humorously added in an exaggerated mock-serious tone: “I’ve just heard of this, I’ve never experienced it…”

Lawrence Praises Robert Pattinson’s Low-Key Vibe
Despite the uncomfortable topic, Lawrence had nothing but praise for her co-star, describing Pattinson as “exactly what you would imagine: a folksy British guy and just sweet and not dramatic and really laid back.”
She acknowledged that, although they didn’t know each other well before filming, she found him to be refreshing and easy to work with, contrasting her past experiences with other actors.
As Die My Love continues to receive critical praise, Lawrence’s performance in the film is already generating significant Oscar buzz.
The movie, which holds a 76% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes, explores the dark and raw reality of new parenthood and mental health.
