While Jonah Hill is a celebrated actor and screenwriter, it's would be fair to say that the majority of stories regarding him in recent times have surrounded his incredible body transformations. Hill appears to be one of those people who is constantly at war with his body and his weight seems to have been consistently fluctuating for the past few years.

But, while the actor may have remained popular no matter what size he is, it would be safe to say that he received a hell of a lot more of attention when he made the transition from the "chubby teenager" in Superbad to the more refined and slim man in the 21 Jump Street series.

And, if his latest post is anything to go by, it turns out that Hill has continued on his incredible transformation. Recently, the actor joined Instagram and set tongues wagging with his first upload. In the image, Jonah can be seen showing off his biceps while filming his feature-length directorial debut, Mid 90's.

The Jonah we see in the photo is pretty far from the one that we used to see adorning the big screens of the cinema. Understandably, fans of the actor rushed to Twitter to share their astonishment at the transformation, with one user asking him what the secret to his success was.

Hill is certainly someone who undergoes serious transformations for his movies, with him looking completely unrecognisable in the trailer for Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot.

In the clip, the actor can be seen sporting long blonde hair, a beard and check shirts. He resembled Kurt Cobain rather than Jonah Hill and a lot of Twitter users couldn't quite get their head around it.

In the movie, which is based on the autobiography of John Callahan - an infamous cartoonist who was left paralysed after being in a car accident - Jonah plays a character who is a flamboyant spiritual trying to get Callahan to sober up.

The movie has attracted a fair amount of criticism for casting Joaquin Phoenix to play a disabled character, with plenty of people feeling like the role should've been given to someone with an actual disability.

Jay Ruderman, the president of The Ruderman Family Foundation released a statement on their website, which read:

"It was a mistake for director Gus Van Sant to cast Joaquin Phoenix in his upcoming biopic about disabled cartoonist John Callahan.

"The time has come for the entertainment industry to audition and cast actors with disabilities to play leading roles portraying disability.

"As we enter 2018, American society no longer finds it acceptable for white actors to play black, Asian, or Hispanic characters.

"It is equally unacceptable and offensive for able-bodied actors to be cast inauthentically in the roles of characters with disabilities."

While it's easier for celebrities to make these transformations due to the fact that they have personal trainers, personal chefs and nutritionists, you still have to respect Jonah for not only losing the weight, but also maintaining that weight loss.
