Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel included a "cheating clause" in their prenup, and it could cost the singer thousands if he is found to have been unfaithful.

When the A-list couple exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony in Italy in 2012, they appeared to have everything - love, success, and a shared vision for the future.

But a few years after their wedding, reports revealed that their marriage may come with more than just vows.

According to various outlets, Timberlake and Biel reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement that includes a "cheating clause" that has serious financial implications for the 44-year-old 'Mirrors' singer if he is adulterous.

The Cheating Clause explained

The clause, often called a "love contract," could cost Timberlake between $500,000 and $750,000 if he is caught cheating on the 43-year-old actress.

According to Yahoo, it is one of the many provisions within the couple’s prenup, which also reportedly outlines the division of their property in case of a divorce.

News of the clause came to light in 2019, after the 'Sexy Back' star apologized publicly after pictures surfaced of him getting close to his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright in a New Orleans bar.

Though Timberlake denied any inappropriate behavior, he admitted in a now-removed Instagram post to having “a strong lapse in judgment".

“I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love,” he wrote at the time, cited by PEOPLE.

“A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgment - but let me be clear - nothing happened between me and my co-star. I drank way too much that night, and I regret my behavior. I should have known better," the 'Cry Me A River' vocalist added.

Wainwright’s team also denied any infidelity, saying the photos were misleading and that the cast and crew had been socializing together during their break from filming.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s ‘Cocaine Clause’

Timberlake and Biel aren't the only Hollywood couple with a unique clause in their marriage contract, as it was recently revealed that Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s prenup included a “cocaine clause” in their prenup when they married in 2006.

The clause stipulated that for every year the 57-year-old country star remained sober, he would be entitled to a $600,000 payout from his actress wife, who recently filed for divorce.

With the 'Somebody Like You' singer having stayed sober since his rehab stint in 2006, this clause could now net him as much as $11 million.

Urban opens up about how Kidman helped him

Urban has been open about his struggles with addiction and how Kidman has supported him through the tough years.

Before the separation was announced, the 'Blue Ain't Your Color' singer made a vulnerable confession in a heartfelt speech at the AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute in June 2024.

“We got married in 2006, and barely four months into our marriage, the addictions that I had done really nothing about blew our marriage to smithereens,” he said. “Four months into a marriage, and I'm in rehab for three months with no idea what was going to happen to us."

Urban went on to praise his wife for standing by him during those challenging times: “Nic pushed through every negative voice. I'm sure even some of her own, and she chose love."

"And here we are tonight, 18 years later. Her capacity to love is like no one I've ever met,” he added, visibly emotional.

After 19 years of marriage, the couple has separated, with the official date of separation recorded as September 30.
