Justin Timberlake has had his driving license suspended by a judge after pleading not guilty to driving while intoxicated.
He told Burke to be more cautious with his words in future as his statements "come off as an attempt to poison the case before it even begins."
It comes after Timberlake's lawyer insisted last Friday that the singer was "not intoxicated” when he was arrested for allegedly driving drunk.
He said during a previous hearing, according to ABC7: "He was not intoxicated. I’ll say it again. Justin Timberlake was not intoxicated. And we are very confident that charge, that criminal charge, will be dismissed."
Burke Jr also claimed that police responding to the scene “made a number of very significant errors in this case.”
He claimed Timberlake "cooperated" with officers "from the second he was ordered out of his car to the second he was charged."
He added: "You heard the DA try to fix one of those errors, but that’s just one, and there are many others. Sometimes the police, like every one of us, make mistakes. And that’s the case in this very instance."
Timberlake was arrested on June 18 after being pulled over by police in Sag Harbor, New York, for alleged drunk driving.
Police claimed Timberlake was driving a 2025 BMW when he failed to stop at a stop light and was weaving out of his lane.
Timberlake told law enforcement that he had only had one drink, a Martini, but refused three times to take a Breathalyzer test at the roadside.
Police claimed in their report that Timberlake’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” and noted they detected a “strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath.
They also claimed he had slowed speech, difficulty dividing his attention, and seemed "uneasy afoot".
