A bartender at the hotel where Justin Timberlake was served before his arrest has confirmed how much the star drank there before he was stopped by police.

It was previously reported that the 43-year-old singer was arrested and booked on DWI charges on June 18 for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons.

Timberlake was reportedly dining with friends at Sag Harbor’s American Hotel in Long Island - which is a popular destination for celebrities in the summer months - before leaving the venue and getting into his vehicle at approximately 12:15AM.

He was later stopped by local authorities who stated that the 'Cry Me A River' hitmaker failed to pause at a stop sign and was reportedly straddling lanes, which prompted police to pull him over.

The officer, who allegedly didn't recognize the star because he was "too young", said that Timberlake "[failed] to keep on the right side of the roadway," per an arrest report obtained by PEOPLE.

The officer also said in the report that Timberlake's "eyes were bloodshot and glassy" when he was stopped.

"A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests," the officer continued in his recollection.

It was also said that Timberlake told the officer that he "had one martini and I followed my friends home," which has now been confirmed by a bartender who was at the hotel he was at that night.

The bartender who works at the American Hotel where the singer was with friends confirmed Timberlake’s "one martini" claims with another employee also telling the outlet: "If he was drinking more, it wasn’t here."

It comes shortly after the star thanked his fans for their support during his latest performance at Chicago's United Center on June 22, just days after his run-in with the law.

"This [tour] is just something that keeps watching over me, more so on this tour than any other," the 43-year-old told the crowd at a show for The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. "And that's that mostly all of us here in this room tonight, in this arena tonight, have grown up together. So many of you come up to me and say, 'I grew up with you, man.'

"... I want each and every one of you to know I've grown up with you," he continued. "You have been such a big and beautiful part of my life and sometimes I can't find the words to show my gratitude that you guys just keep riding with me and riding with me."

He also added that whether these fans had been there from the early days or more recent times, he was truly grateful for their overwhelming support during this period in his life.

"...I just wanna say you guys keep loving me and coming back and spending and sharing this experience with me," he said before adding: "And from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that until I'm somewhere off this earth, I will never forget each and every one of you.

"You made my life so special. And tonight in Chicago, you have made us feel loved," he concluded.
