Justin Timberlake has reportedly been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

ABC News reports that law enforcement has confirmed to the outlet that the 43-year-old 'Cry Me A River' star was arrested by officers for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons.

The reported arrest took place on Monday night (June 17), in Sag Harbor, New York.

As reported by TMZ, The 43-year-old singer-songwriter had been dining with friends in the area before law enforcement intervened.

According to a statement from the Suffolk County district attorney's office, Timberlake was expected to face arraignment later on Tuesday in Sag Harbor, situated at Long Island's eastern end.

Reports from TMZ obtained details from the police report related to Timberlake's arrest, shedding light on the sequence of events that led to his run-in with law enforcement.

Authorities reported that Sag Harbor police initially spotted Timberlake after he allegedly ran a stop sign approximately half a mile away from the American Hotel, where he had been socializing with friends.

Subsequently, officers claimed they observed Timberlake's vehicle failing to maintain a straight line on the road, prompting them to tail him for an additional half mile before initiating a traffic stop.

The singer was pulled over at an intersection within a residential area, where police allegedly detected signs indicating possible intoxication. These included bloodshot or glassy eyes, a strong smell of alcohol on his breath, difficulty maintaining attention, slowed speech, and unsteady balance.

Additionally, police stated that Timberlake performed poorly on field sobriety tests conducted at the scene.

During the interaction, Timberlake reportedly told officers, per TMZ: "I had one martini and I followed my friends home."

The arrest comes as Timberlake prepares for four upcoming concerts - two shows in Chicago, Illinois, this weekend and another two gigs in New York City next week.
