The 47-year-old rapper - legally known as Ye now - recently made his return to X (formerly Twitter), and in true fashion, he’s already stirring controversy - this time calling for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs' release from prison.

On Friday (February 7), the 'Runaway' musician tagged Donald Trump in a now-deleted post, which read: "PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF."

He then blasted at fellow celebrities in a follow-up post, accusing them of staying silent: "YALL WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S**T."

Combs, 55, is currently being held without bail until his trial in May. The music mogul faces serious criminal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution - all of which he denies.

Despite Combs’ repeated efforts to secure bail, a New York judge ruled that he was a serious flight risk and denied his release.

Unfazed, Ye has launched a social media campaign in Combs’ defense, declaring him his "hero" and "idol".

"THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT," he ranted. "YALL F***ING KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F***ING INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM. THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US. THIS MY IDOL. THIS MY HERO."

In a final tweet, Ye added: "PUFF GET ONE CALL A MORNING."

In addition to his criminal charges, Combs is also battling several civil lawsuits.

A former adult entertainer in Las Vegas recently accused him of forcing him to perform acts beyond what had been agreed upon. "Combs dehumanized plaintiff and reduced him to a mere object for Combs’ own amusement and to satisfy his own sexual fetishes," the lawsuit claims, per Rolling Stone.

The accuser also alleges that Combs "gravely exploited plaintiff, effectively imprisoning him and controlling him through surreptitious surveillance and filming".

Despite the mounting allegations, Combs’ legal team has denied all wrongdoing. "No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex-trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor," his lawyer said

"Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to separate fact from fiction, and Mr. Combs is confident that he will prevail in court," they added.

West’s support for Diddy is just the latest in a string of headline-making moments.

Earlier this week, his wife, Bianca Censori, turned heads at the 2025 Grammys by wearing a see-through dress with no underwear - something Ye claimed made her one of the most Googled people on Earth.

He also revealed that Censori played a key role in helping him discover he has autism.
