Katie Price has avoided time in jail due to her sentence being deferred after her drink-driving crash.

On Tuesday, September 28, the ex-glamour model, 43, crashed her car on the B2135 near Partridge Green, Sussex, and was later taken to hospital.

After police were called to the scene, she admitted to drink-driving while disqualified and under the influence of cocaine. Authorities stated that because of the incident, the road was temporarily closed to the public.

The reality star, who was arrested after the crash, had reportedly been banned from driving at the time the collision happened.

The following day, the mother-of-five pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance during an appearance at Crawley Magistrates' Court.

The court was told that after police confronted her at the scene of the collision, Price told them: "I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all."

As reported by The Argus, the court told the former model that, for now, she would be spared a jail sentence on the condition that she undergo treatment at the Priory Centre, a renowned private mental health hospital and addiction rehab clinic.

Meanwhile, Price will be banned from getting behind the wheel once again. She was also warned against committing any additional offenses.

The chair of the bench Julie Hutton handed Price the interim driving ban, telling her: "We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified."

Hutton then told the mother-of-five: "On that basis, Ms. Price, you are free to go and good luck at the Priory."

The Priory Group's main hospital is the Priory Hospital in Roehampton, England. It offers rehabilitation and therapy for those suffering from addiction, depression, anxiety, and issues related to stress.

The center has previously treated a number of British stars with sex, drugs, alcohol, gambling, and computing addictions.

Some of the celebrities who took residence there include Ant McPartlin, Lily Allen, Paul Gascoigne, Kate Moss, Sinead O’Connor, and the late Amy Winehouse.

Price's sentence has been deferred until December 15.
