Being a celebrity, and being a parent, has two sides to it when you share your life on social media. On the one hand, there are people who will praise you and your children, who will prop you up with support and offer advice when needed.
But on the other hand, being a famous parent on social media also leaves you exposed to a lot of unsolicited criticism and harassment from people who think they know better.
For some real family drama, check out this explosive fight between Kourtney and Kim in Keeping Up With The Kardashians:

Yes, parent-shaming is rampant, and a vocal minority is quick to call out any perceived poor parenting or negligence. But this week, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about how she deals with mom-shaming trolls on social media in a brand-new interview.

Speaking to Rose Inc on the subject of how she copes with trolls, Kourtney stated: "I really try to not give energy to things that aren't worthy of my energy. Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me, I definitely have the platform to correct it. But I usually don't think twice."

She continued: "The worst, though, is when people give unsolicited parenting advice. No one knows my kids better than me. I've got this. I'm good, thanks ... Being a new mom, you feel judged in general. I remember people commenting on every little thing. If I was wearing flat shoes, they'd be like 'Oh, now that you're a mom you can't wear heels?' and if I wore heels, they'd be like 'You're gonna carry your kids in heels?!'"

She added: "As moms, we should try to be a better community of women lifting each other up. We're all going through our own struggle, whatever it is we're feeling guilty about."
But Kourtney isn't the first celebrity to have to deal with this issue, and recently Jessica Simpson was harshly mom-shamed when she shared this innocuous picture of her daughter.
