Rapper Lil Nas X has responded to allegations that he's pushing a gay agenda in his music.

The American musician, 22, was subject to homophobic trolling after the music video for his latest single 'Industry Baby' dropped on July 23 and featured, among other controversial content, a very steamy shower scene.

Trolls, unsurprisingly, had a lot to say about the video on social media, with one going as far as to claim that Kanye West's involvement in the track was demonic.

However, Lil Nas X did not let this slide as he wrote on Twitter: "There was nothing demonic about the industry baby video. just say u hate gay people musty [sic]."

Another troll said that Jack Harlow's depiction in the video was an "emasculation and attack on Black men".

Lil Nas X once again hit back, writing: "The truth is there is no attack. you view femininity as weakness. you don't like gay black men because you are afraid of black men, as a whole, being viewed as weak. you cling on to your masculinity because without it you have nothing else going for yourself."

Lil Nas was also slammed by a Twitter user who wrote: "White corporate music execs funded a music video with Lil Nas X, where a bunch of Black men are in prison twerking. And the lone white man, Jack Harlow is sexually involved with a FEMALE guard.

"But all the Black men are sexually engaging with each other. This is progress?"

He then hit back at this, explaining: "Lemme explain. lil nas = gay so he wit boy. jack harlow = straight so he wit girl. got it?? [sic]"

The rapper concluded his Twitter comments by giving a general shoutout to his trolls, writing: "I become 10% gayer every time I read a 'we get it you're gay' comment [sic]."

He added: "All jokes aside the idea of a gay agenda doesn't make sense. if someone influences you to suck c**k you probably already wanted to suck c**k [sic]."

This is not the first time that the rapper has come under fire for the content of his work, and he was criticized by parents earlier this year for the music video for his track, 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)'.
