David Guetta has alleged that Madonna once refused to work with him because of his astrological sign.

The French DJ was discussing the pop star in a recent interview on the McFly et Carlito YouTube channel, when he revealed that the Vogue singer had been interested in working with him after he won a Grammy back in 2011 for remixing her song Revolver.

Recalling a meeting that took place afterwards, Guetta said: "She tells me that she loves this remix and she suggests that I produce her next album. I arrive for lunch. We talk about everything - the music, what she wants to do with the album. Super nice. It's just her and me. Very relaxed, very cool. We have lunch. It's happening. Very good and you wonder when we start working together."

The 52-year-old then revealed that his star sign is Scorpio.

People whose astrological sign is Scorpio are born between 23 October and 21 November.

"Suddenly, she makes a face and she says to me, ‘I'm sorry, we're not going to be able to work together. It was a pleasure to know you. Goodbye!" Guetta continued to claim.

Per The Independent, Madonna has, in fact, worked with Scorpios before. In 1994, she hired Björk to co-write the track Bedtime Story.

This comes after it was revealed that Madonna will be directing and co-writing her own biopic after teasing the project on social media.

In a statement, per the Independent, the 62-year-old said: "I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world. The focus of this film will always be music. Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive."

The pop star is reportedly penning the film's script with Oscar winner Diablo Cody, who is best known for her screenplays for Juno and Jennifer's Body.

"There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision," Madonna continued.

At the time of writing, no release date or casting choices have been announced.

The film, which will be under Universal Pictures, is due to be produced by former Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal, who first worked with Madonna on the 1992 sports comedy, A League of Their Own.

According to the publication, Pascal described the upcoming biopic as "an absolute labour of love for me."
