Marilyn Manson's first love has shared her fears that she turned her former flame into a "monster".
Amid the recent abuse allegations surrounding the metal singer, his ex-girlfriend - who asked to be named only as Rachelle - spoke to the Daily Mail about the highs and lows of their troubled romance.
At the lowest points of their relationship, she recalls how Manson "became very jealous". She said: "Even when I was with my girlfriends [he] would get upset. He would want to be around everywhere. He was possessive."
According to Rachelle, she and Manson - whose real name is Brian Warner - began their two-year relationship in 1987 when he was just 18 and she was 22.
The 55-year-old revealed to the publication, that Manson, now 52, had written her "tortured poems" - some copies of which she shared with the Daily Mail.

According to Rachelle, such was his passion for her that the 'Sweet Dreams' performer would fantasize about fathering her child.
She recalls the singer being "shy and quiet, although immature," when she met him.
During their relationship, the would-be star was "loving" and "affectionate". She recalled: "He was wonderful. He was very kind to me, loving, very affectionate. There was nothing that would have struck me as scary or uncomfortable. I was very comfortable with him."
Despite how young they were, their relationship was a very intense one. Rachelle admits that eventually, it all became too much for her. "His behavior changed. But he was never mean. He just wanted to be together," she said.
She added: "He would write poems about it, how he would feel when he was not with me."
Rachelle decided to part ways with the aspiring rocker when their relationship hit rock bottom.
Devastated by the split, Manson began to transform his appearance and morphed into his more gothic alter ego. No longer was he Brian Warner - he now went under the name Marilyn Manson.

So significant was Rachelle in his early years that Manson even wrote about her in his 1998 autobiography The Long Road Out of Hell in which he described Rachelle as "cold-hearted, gorgeous and manipulative" and said she "left me with a scar deeper than any I've since inflicted on myself".
He also recalled how their break up led to him trying to "close myself off emotionally to the world and trust no one".
The rock star shared in the memoir that it "was partly out of anger and revenge that I wanted to get famous and make her regret dumping me."
Rachelle's interview with the Daily Mail comes after at least 15 women accused Manson of misconduct earlier this year, after Evan Rachel Wood's explosive allegations.
Manson vehemently denied the allegations as "distortions of reality" in a statement on his Instagram.
The most recent allegations have been shared in Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco's lawsuit against the singer in which she accuses him of sexual and physical abuse.
