Matthew Perry has called off his engagement to Molly Hurwitz just days after the hotly-popular Friends reunion.
Per People magazine, the 51-year-old actor broke up with his 29-year-old fiancée, literary manager Hurwitz, whom he proposed to in November 2020.
In an official statement made to People, Perry said: "Sometimes things just don't work out and this is one of them. I wish Molly the best."
According to Cosmopolitan, the couple began dating back in 2018 but only went public with details of their relationship on Valentine's Day last year.
On February 14, Hurwitz posted a picture of the actor to her private Instagram account, along with the caption: "Second year being my valentine, but his first as an Instagram influencer. HVD to my favorite. [sic]"
At the time of his engagement announcement, the actor told People: "I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time."
This comes after a number of viewers expressed concern about Perry's health due to his appearance on HBO Max's Friends reunion special.
One person wrote on Twitter: "I watched the #FriendsReunion last night! It was SO GREAT to see them together again, and I loved all the behind the scenes stuff!
"But I wasn’t a fan of the celebrity cameos and it was sad to see Matthew Perry slurring his words. [sic]"
Another concerned fan tweeted the actor: "You were slurring your speech a bit on the reunion. Take care of yourself. No more relapses please. You're a great actor and we need you around!! [sic]"
Meanwhile, third tweeted: "Though I loved the reunion, it was difficult watching Matthew Perry like this. He was talking with a slurred speech. Sad to see our beloved Chandler like this."
Defending Perry in an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's TV Top 5 podcast, the special's director Ben Winston stated: "[Perry] was great. People can sometimes be unkind. I wish they weren't.
"I loved working with him. He's a brilliantly funny man and I thought he had some great one-liners in the show. I felt just happy and lucky to be in his presence and directing him on something like this."

Friends executive producer Kevin Bright told The Hollywood Reporter: "What people say is what people say. I don’t have any[thing] to say about that, except it was great to see him. And I think he’s very funny on the show.
"I think [Perry’s] OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward."
