Megan Fox was reportedly still with Brian Austin Green when she first fell for Machine Gun Kelly

It is being reported that Megan Fox was still with Brian Austin Green when she fell for her current boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly.

In a Nylon interview with MGK about his album Tickets to My Downfall, Fox recalled the moment she knew she was "f**ked" when she "found herself in a room with him" on the set of the upcoming crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.

"I looked into his eyes [and] I felt the most pristine, most gentle, most pure spirit," she told the publication. "My heart shattered immediately and I just knew that I was f**ked."

Interestingly, filming on Midnight in the Switchgrass reportedly started in March.

And considering Fox's split from Austin Green was only announced months later in May, it's believed the Transformers star and the 90210 actor were still together when she met and subsequently fell for the 30-year-old rapper.

"There's never an attempt to control him on my end," Fox added of MGK. It’s more that he looks to me to avoid his own self-destructive tendencies.

"And that’s where I'm useful because on his own and left to his own devices I don’t know how much interest he has in caring for himself."

The 34-year-old actress also compared "loving" MGK to "being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire."

"The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude," she added.

Per People, Austin Green announced their split in May during an episode of his podcast …With Brian Austin Green podcast, saying: "I was shocked and I was upset about it but I can’t be upset at her because she didn’t ask to feel that way.

"It wasn’t a choice she made, that’s the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let’s separate for a bit… and so we did," he added.

Three months later, however, the 47-year-old actor appeared to throw shade at Fox after she posted a snap of herself and her new boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, months after their own split.

On August 5, Fox posted a photo of herself and the 30-year-old rapper each wearing towels, along with the caption: "Achingly Beautiful Boy … My heart is yours."

That same day, Austin Green posted photos of the sons he and Fox share: Noah Shannon, 7, Bodhi Ransom, 6, and Journey River, 3. Also included in the photos was his eldest son Kassius, 18, whose mother is Vanessa Marcil.

Roasting his ex's caption, Austin Green wrote: "Achingly beautiful boys … My heart is yours."

And more recently, Fox took to Instagram to accuse her ex of "feeding" the narrative that she's an "absent mother".
