Following the bombshell revelation that Dave Grohl had cheated on his wife and fathered a baby girl, the mother of his secret child has now been revealed.
Back in September 2024, the 55-year-old Foo Fighters star left fans stunned after he took to Instagram to reveal that he had welcomed another daughter with a woman who was not his wife.
Grohl has been married to Jordyn Blum, 48, since 2003, and the couple shares three daughters, with his fourth daughter being born to another woman.
He had taken to Instagram to confirm the birth of his new baby, telling fans he is working to "regain" the trust of his wife and children after the revelation.
He wrote in his post: "I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
He added: "We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together."
Following months of secrecy, the woman he fathered a baby with has now been revealed as 38-year-old Jennifer Young.
Speaking to The New York Post, Young revealed that Grohl is the father of her baby girl, born on August 1 of last year.
The child carries Grohl’s last name, according to records obtained by the outlet.
Young, who resides in a modest Los Angeles home with her mother, declined to comment on whether Grohl has been involved in the child’s life.
Little is known about Young’s professional background, and much of her online presence appears to have been erased. Concerned about backlash from Grohl’s fans, Young has requested that her child’s name not be disclosed.
“Protecting her identity is really important,” Young said, “because there’s some really angry fans.”
Young has been seen in Los Angeles pushing a stroller with her baby, who has been spotted wearing a helmet decorated with stickers of Elvis, Led Zeppelin, and Keanu Reeves. She has tattoos of Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo but has not been publicly seen with Grohl.
Sources told The New York Post that Blum and Grohl have struggled to repair their relationship in the wake of the scandal.
Blum was seen without her wedding ring, with insiders saying she “didn’t trust” her husband.
The couple was recently spotted together in Los Angeles on February 11, marking their first public appearance since the affair was revealed.
