Natasha Lyonne was reportedly escorted off a Delta flight after allegedly failing to follow crew instructions just hours after attending a major Hollywood premiere. The incident is said to have unfolded on Tuesday, April 7, after the actress boarded a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to New York City.
According to Page Six, the 47-year-old Poker Face star had just appeared at the Los Angeles premiere of Euphoria season 3, where she features as a guest star. The report claims that shortly before takeoff, flight attendants repeatedly asked Lyonne to close her laptop and fasten her seatbelt, but she did not respond.
The outlet further alleges that Lyonne appeared to be dozing off behind her sunglasses and did not comply despite being asked multiple times. The situation escalated enough that pilots made the decision to return the aircraft to the gate.
Although the plane had already begun taxiing, it reportedly turned back before departure. Passengers were then informed that one traveler would need to be rebooked onto another flight.
Once back at the gate, Lyonne was reportedly escorted off the aircraft by a Delta gate agent along with her belongings. The delay lasted just over an hour, according to the report.
While the exact flight was not confirmed, Delta Flight DL960 traveling from Los Angeles International Airport to John F. Kennedy Airport was delayed by one hour and seven minutes on April 7, according to FlightAware.
Hours before the reported incident, Lyonne walked the red carpet at the Euphoria season 3 premiere wearing large wrap-around sunglasses, a see-through top, corset-style shorts, and lace tights. She posed for photos while adjusting her outfit and seemingly making a lewd hand gesture.
At one point, she was supported by producer Brian Grazer as she made her way across the carpet.
Lyonne later shared a message on X that appeared to reference travel frustrations. She wrote, "My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards."
The reported incident comes just months after Lyonne publicly addressed a relapse in her sobriety journey. On March 19, she shared an update with fans, writing, “Proud to report this kid is doing a whole lot better & back on her feet.”
She added, “Want to thank our recovery communities & the fans who stood by & were so supportive. Aiming to keep the journey somehow private, but look forward to sharing my experience, strength & hope as makes sense. My heart is with everyone ever going through it.”
Earlier, in a January 23 post, she had written, “Took my relapse public more to come,” followed by, “Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you're not alone," and “Grateful for love & smart feet.”
