A bold new look
The Big Little Lies star also debuted a dramatic new hairstyle, featuring a shaggy cut and a graduated French-style fringe, showcased in a video posted by celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel.
Thank you @chanelofficial for having me and my girls?" she wrote in the post caption, adding, "So excited to be a part of it with you @matthieu_blazy."
"What a night @chanelofficial. New bang era," Abergel captioned the reel. "Chanel's new global ambassador. @nicolekidman."
Fans and friends flooded the comments with support. One user wrote: "Ok so this absolutely ate and the bangs are 10/10," while another gushed: "Nicole Kidman is hotter than ever, and this hairstyle is gorgeous on her! Awesome hairstylist!"
One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush praised her new look, writing: "The bangs! The energy! Yes ma'am!!" and a fan added, "Looking effortlessly gorgeous Nicole. I admire your resilience and wish all the best for you and your family."
Divorce details emerge
The appearance comes just days after Kidman filed for divorce on September 30, citing "irreconcilable differences".
She is seeking to become the "primary residential parent" for the couple’s daughters, meaning the Babygirl star would have the girls for 306 days of the year, while the 57-year-old musician would take them for the remaining 59 days.
The divorce filing also includes details about the couple’s financial arrangements.
Both parents are listed as earning more than $100,000 per month, and neither will seek child or spousal support.
The 'Blue Ain't Your Color' singer has reportedly “prepaid all child support obligations,” and the couple has agreed to an equal division of joint assets, keeping personal earnings and royalties separate.
The divorce will not be finalized until at least 90 days after the filing, in accordance with Tennessee law.
Additionally, both parents are required to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of the filing, per the Daily Mail.

The Chanel event also served as a milestone moment for Kidman’s career, as she confirmed her return to the French fashion house as a global ambassador.
This marks a reunion between the Eyes Wide Shut actress and Chanel under its new artistic director, Matthieu Blazy, 41.
"I am thrilled to be joining Chanel as it begins its new chapter with Matthieu at the helm," Kidman said in a statement, per Daily Mail.
"As someone who has such an appreciation for Haute Couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu’s vision for the oldest Haute Couture House still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations."
She added: "Chanel has always been ahead of the curve, shining a smart and gracious light on women, and I am sure Matthieu will be no exception, just like Karl did in his time."
Blazy celebrated the partnership as well, saying, "From the unforgettable Baz Luhrmann film to her countless red carpet looks, Nicole has always been part of the history of the House.
"Having worked with Nicole in the past and now reuniting with her at Chanel is a dream come true and couldn’t make me happier."
Among the star-studded crowd in Paris, Kidman was also joined by her niece, journalist Lucia Hawley, the daughter of her sister Antonia.
