The reason why David Harbour isn’t doing any press for the final season of Stranger Things has been revealed.
The 50-year-old's absence from the start of the season five press tour has left fans questioning why the star, who plays Jim Hopper, is missing from one of the most anticipated finales in TV history.
According to E! News, Harbour is currently focused on his lead role in the new thriller Evil Genius, which is directed by Friends icon Courteney Cox.
Professional commitments come first
With a demanding filming schedule, the Violent Nights star has been tied up with the upcoming show, which is why he wasn’t available for the press junkets.
Despite this, Harbour still attended the premiere of Stranger Things season five in Los Angeles on November 6.

Off-Screen Drama: Lily Allen's West End Girl
The timing of Harbour's absence also raised eyebrows due to recent headlines surrounding his personal life.
His ex-wife, British singer Lily Allen, released her album West End Girl in late October, which includes songs that have drawn attention for their cryptic references to the actor.
On the track 'Tennis,' the 40-year-old talks about their alleged open marriage and Harbour’s behavior during their five years together, with some listeners interpreting them as a reference to their divorce.
However, Harbour has remained silent on the matter, not commenting on Allen’s album or the public speculation surrounding their split.

Behind the Scenes on Set
Adding to the drama, recent reports have surfaced regarding Harbour’s relationship with Stranger Things co-star Millie Bobby Brown.
Per the Daily Mail, Brown reportedly filed a harassment and bullying claim against her co-star before filming the final season.
Netflix is said to have conducted an internal investigation, though the results have not been disclosed.
While the claims were not related to sexual misconduct, they reportedly caused tension on set during the filming of the final season.
Despite these off-screen challenges, Brown and Harbour appeared together at the season five premiere, presenting a united front as they posed for photos on the red carpet.

Harbour and Brown's relationship on screen has been central to Stranger Things' success.
Since filming began in 2015, their father-daughter dynamic between Hopper and Eleven has resonated with audiences, becoming one of the most emotional aspects of the show.
"Millie and I have always had a special relationship because I knew her when she was so young," Harbour said in a 2016 interview.
"I knew her before the fame."
Brown, for her part, has echoed similar sentiments about their bond, describing their on-screen relationship as raw and real.
Despite the turmoil in Harbour's personal life, both actors appeared composed and supportive of each other during the premiere.
