Rebel Wilson makes heartbreaking admission after losing 80lbs on weight loss meds
Rebel Wilson has made a heartbreaking confession after losing 80lbs on Ozempic.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the 46-year-old Pitch Perfect star, who embarked on a transformative weight loss journey in 2020, didn’t hold back when reflecting on her body and expectations.
"I don't think I'll ever have a bikini body - that's just not me," she said. "But my body has carried me through this life and I am so grateful for it!"
Balancing Health and Motherhood
After losing around 80lbs by 2022 after taking weight-loss drugs, Wilson has continued working on maintaining a healthy lifestyle while juggling the demands of motherhood.
She welcomed her first child, Royce Lillian, via surrogate in November 2022, and later confirmed that her wife, Ramona Agruma, is pregnant with their second child.
"Being a working Mum, you just try your best! Shout out to everyone trying to be the healthiest versions of themselves while dealing with a LOT," she said, per PEOPLE.
The Bride Hard star admitted that while she didn’t have to lose baby weight, the lifestyle changes that came with motherhood impacted her routine.
"I did gain weight once I had my baby, because although I didn’t give birth to her and I didn’t need to lose any baby weight, I had just gained weight from the lack of sleep and from the change in my lifestyle," she told the Daily Mail in 2023.
"For instance, now I can’t go to the gym as often as I used to. I’m just not working out as much, so that has slowed me down," she added.
Wilson On Diet, Exercise, and A Little Extra Help
Wilson has been open about the steps she takes to stay healthy, including regular movement and balanced eating.
"I'm trying to get in my daily steps, do a Pilates class once or twice a week, some strength training when I can, eat as healthy as I can," she shared. "But let's face it I love sweets so I need those GLPs from time to time to give a little help."
The actress has also stressed that her journey was never about chasing a number on the scale, but about improving her overall well-being.
"You never want it to be about the number, because it really isn't about that," she said in 2020. "It's about: I was doing some unhealthy things to my body and I just wanted to change it and become a healthier person."
