Reese Witherspoon has caused a bit of frenzy online after she posted a photo of herself with her daughter... and they look pretty much identical!
The photo captured Reese, 47, and Ava Phillippe, 24, seated at a charming Parisian café, sharing a moment over drinks. Sporting a large black cape, Reese sat on the right, smiling at the camera while holding onto her beverage.
By her side, Ava mirrored her mother, dressed in an all-black ensemble with long blonde hair and a beaming smile.
The image was uploaded to Witherspoon's Instagram as part of a carousel post for her 30.1 million followers.
The striking resemblance between the mother-daughter duo left fans perplexed, with many taking to the comment section to express their amazement.
It turns out, nobody can tell the mother and daughter duo apart.
One person said: "Every dang time I get you two mixed up now," while a second commented: "Omg you’re twins. Have a fabulous time."
A third person said: "I thought I was looking at Reese & then I looked to the right," and a fourth concluded: "Your daughter is your clone and it’s kind of unfair for the rest of society."
Looking at the picture, it's easy to see why people got the pair mixed up.
Reese and Ryan Phillippe, the actor she shares Ava with, met at her 21st birthday party in 1997. The couple got engaged in 1998 and tied the knot in 1999.
Earlier this month, Reese left her fans a bit grossed out after she showed them what she gets up to on snow days.
"So we got a ton of snow over the past few days. We decided to make a recipe," explained the Morning Show star in a voiceover of her TikTok. "So first we scooped the snow into cups, and we added salted caramel syrup, and some chocolate syrup. And then we decided to add some cold brew."
The video captured Reese enjoying her slushy creation, contemplating potential names for her unique drink. However, the unconventional recipe faced a barrage of criticism from hundreds of fans who deemed her actions "gross."
"No no no... snow is not made to eat... u can get seriously sick," voiced one concerned user. Another chimed in, saying: "Fallen snow can be very dirty from the air and wind, but who cares. You only live once. I remember eating snow as a kid."
In a follow-up video, Witherspoon laughed off the criticism, stating: "We’re kind of in the category of 'you only live once,' and it snows maybe once a year here. I don’t know! Also, I want to say something... It was delicious! It was so good."
Responding to concerns about the cleanliness of the snow, Witherspoon conducted a "clear cup" experiment in another TikTok video, assuring viewers that the snow from her backyard, microwaved and melted, appeared clear.
