Jason Aldean's concert came to an abrupt end after the singer felt unwell as a result of a heat stroke.
On Saturday night (July 15) at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut, the 46-year-old country singer was in the middle of performing his 2009 hit 'Crazy Town' when something appeared to be amiss.
In footage taken by a concertgoer, Aldean can be seen retreating from the microphone to cough and then proceeding to take several pauses in the middle of the song.
He then turned around and suddenly bolted offstage, baffling fans as to what happened.
Watch the video below:A Twitter user shared a video of the musician on the social media app with the caption: "It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just standing in the pit. I can’t imagine performing in jeans, boots, and a hat under all those lights in that humidity with no breeze. Hope he’s okay!"
Another supporter that was at the show also stated that Aldean "put his all into the songs he did perform" which made the night "worthwhile," adding: "An artist's health and well-being are so important but is often overlooked. These guys aren’t machines. They’re humans too."
On Sunday (July 16), the concert venue tweeted out a statement regarding the incident, writing: "Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date.
"We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance," they concluded.
Many people flocked to the comment section to send their well-wishes to the country star. One person wrote: "We were in the seats almost to the lawn and we could tell he didn’t feel well. I’m sure playing in the heat, running around under the lights, and wearing jeans was worse than where we were. Glad he’s feeling better. The heat and humidity up north ain’t no joke."
A second user commented: "Hope you're feeling better! This heat is no joke add the big lights it makes it worst! Get better soon and get rest!" while a third person added: "It’s been blazing hot up there. Plus other factors like humidity and such. Some are extremely comfortable in those types of weather. Feel better."
The 'Dirt Road Anthem' singer also shared a video on his social media to express his gratitude to everyone that has checked on him and said that the concert got "intense" due to the heat.
He also told people that he will return to Connecticut soon to "make it up" to fans.
Aldean is scheduled to play two shows in Ohio next Thursday and Friday.
