Courteney Cox has proven there's parts of Monica Geller she just can't let go - namely, the obsessive need to clean.

The actress, 58, was recently awarded a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work on the big and small screen.

However, given that the stars form part of the pavement on Hollywood Boulevard, they're prone to getting trodden on by dirty shoes tens of thousands of times a day.

While other stars might look grubby over time, Courteney's one is going to be gleaming for years to come, as she was on hand with her cleaning products to make it shine, just like her iconic Friends character would do.

Courteney channeled her inner Monica by popping out of a nearby doorway to her star with a bottle of cleaning solution and paper towels - less than a month after her star was unveiled - to give it a good scrub down.

She shared the footage on her Instagram account, in which she was seen telling passersby: "You can go around!"

It wasn't just her own star that she spruced up, however, as she also gave those of Laura Dern, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon a sparkle too.

There'd be nobody prouder than Friends' Monica to see Courteney remaining the queen of clean all these years later, as Courteney captioned the video: "Someone’s gotta do it."

Her video also impressed many of her celebrity pals, with Reese commenting: "Thanks for keeping us clean, Court!!"

Friend co-star Lisa Kudrow added: "Only the best thing ever," while Demi Moore simply added: "love".

Fans were also loving the parallels with her most famous character, with one joking: "'I’m Monica, I wash my star 17 times a day. Even if people are on it!'"

Others added: "Not just clean, Monica clean!", and "Monica is always Monica."

Courteney had been joined by Lisa and Jennifer among other loved ones for her star unveiling ceremony last month.

Speaking at the event, Jennifer told the crowd: "To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney. She is responsible for all of that.

"From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you. And I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan."

Lisa added that they were "deeply, deeply proud to know" the Scream actress, adding that she was "the definition of a truly beautiful, talented and what’s most important, a truly good and decent human being."

Courteney also spoke at the event, emotionally telling the crowd: "Friends taught me the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together.

"These friendships were at the most important time in my life, and we went through so many things together."
