In what has been hailed as an "emotional reunion", Courteney Cox and her former Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow came together to celebrate her being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

On Monday, the 58-year-old received an honor that all actors dream of; a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The achievement comes as no surprise to fans, given Cox's remarkable on-screen roles in iconic movies and TV shows such as Friends, Scream, and Blue Desert.

During the ceremony, which took place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, both Aniston and Kudrow gave a speech to celebrate their professional relationship with the star as well as an off-screen friendship that has spanned across decades.

As per HuffPost, Aniston began the speech stating that the pair were "very honored to be here today to speak on your behalf, as your coworkers, friends, family, your sisters," before adding that it had "been a long time" since they'd first met.

She continued: "To be friends with Courteney is to be family with Courteney, and she is responsible for all of that.

"From the beginning of when we met her, she was immediately inclusive, warm, loving, interested in everything about you. And I was really nervous to meet her because I was a huge fan."

Kudrow then pointed out that the rest of the cast was inspired by the actor as she was the only member of the Friends cast "who was famous" when the show began, so the group was "all taking our cues from her."

Aniston then added: "From the beginning, she made it very clear that this was a true ensemble. She instilled into all of us to support each other and to love one another and that actors need to support and love one another."

Following the heartwarming speech, Cox stepped forward to say a few words of her own, even going on to quote the iconic Friends theme song during her speech.

"Friends taught me the importance of camaraderie and really sticking together," she told everyone in attendance at the event. "These friendships were at the most important time in my life, and we went through so many things together. And it just taught me about being there for each other.

"I know, that’s the song, I’ll Be There For You. But it’s true."

She continued, stating that "it was so nice to work with people that could bounce ideas off each other."

"Everybody wanted the best for everybody. There was no jealousy, it was only, 'Let’s make the best show we can, and let’s support each other in this.'"

After the event, 54-year-old Aniston took to Instagram to post some snapshots of her own, alongside a heartfelt caption dedicated to her long-time friend.

"Very proud of our girl @courteneycoxofficial today. I love these women with literally every ounce of my heart and soul. @lisakudrow and I were on a cloud being able to celebrate her and her incredible achievements," she wrote.

In the comments, other celebrities also sent kind words of support to Cox, including the likes of Reese Witherspoon, who said: "Wow!! Congrats @courteneycoxofficial !! So well deserved!!"
