Demi Moore has shared some powerful photos of the moment she and ex-husband Bruce Willis became grandparents for the first time.
Bruce and Demi had been married from 1987 until announcing their separation in 1998, before officially filing for divorce in 2000.
The pair share three daughters - Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, and recently became grandparents for the first time after Rumer welcomed a daughter of her own, named Louetta Isley Thomas Willis.
Demi took to Instagram to pay tribute to her daughter on her 35th birthday, sharing snaps from some pivotal moments in their lives together.
She wrote alongside them: "My life changed the day you were born. You brought a depth, meaning, and purpose to my existence along with an understanding of love that I had never known.
"Now here you are my baby, with your own baby, bringing even greater meaning, magic, and love into all of our lives.
"So proud of you. Happy Birthday Ru! Happy New Year! Happy Celebration of Life! I Love You!"
Among the snaps, Demi shared photos of her with Rumer as a child, blowing out her birthday candles, the pair of them together as Demi posed with cropped hair, and her supporting Rumer as she went into labor with her first child, Louetta.
The final snap in the series was them cuddling up with the new baby girl and Demi's dog, looking delighted with their new little bundle of joy.
Rumer responded to the post, writing: "Oh mama I love you so. Knowing what it takes to help bring a soul into this world gives it a whole new meaning for me.
"I always thought this was my day but I know now it has always been ours. Happy birthday mama."
Louetta was born in April and is the first grandchild for Demi and Bruce.
Despite having ended their marriage over 20 years ago, the former couple remains extremely close and Demi has a great relationship with Bruce's wife, Emma Heming Willis.
Things haven't been as easy for the blended family recently, after Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia, and had to take time out of Hollywood.
In February, the family shared a joint statement explaining that his health issues had worsened, and he had been living with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), meaning he would be retiring from acting.
They wrote at the time: "Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.
"In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father, and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing."
The family continued: "Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).
"Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."
