Dick Van Dyke has got us all gushing!
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 97-year-old posted a series of photos and videos taken over the Father's Day weekend showing him celebrating the occasion with his children.
The Mary Poppins actor shares his four children - Christian, Barry, Stacy, and Carrie Beth - with his late ex-wife Margie Willett. The couple were married for 36 years.
Now, Van Dyke is married to Arlene Silver, who he currently shares no children with.
In the carousel of snapshots, the star posed with his kids, grandkids as well as his wife.
"I never realized when I was first having kids what I was starting," Van Dyke began his caption.
"But, I'm amazed and grateful to have lived long enough to spend Father's Day with some of my kids, grandchildren AND great grandchildren!! All wonderful, non-toxic people!! And to share it all with my greatest gift @bijoubox in our magical fairyland @vandymanor."
"I'm a very lucky boy," the star added.
In the first clip, which shows the actor taking a seat on the sofa as members of his family surround him, Van Dyke asks: "Can you see everybody?" to one of his children, who asks everyone to gather around for a photo.
He then laughs as he questions whether the footage is a "movie" or a picture before pulling a hilariously funny face at the camera.
His family follows suit, making for an adorable and extremely wholesome moment.
The second shot is a still of the 97-year-old showing off his pearly whites with other members of his family while the last seems to be one of a small, blue beach hut.
Since it was published less than 24 hours ago, the post has received over 21,000 likes as well as thousands of comments from fans who gushed over the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star.
We caught a glimpse of Van Dyke and Willett's children when all four of them appeared in episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Diagnosis: Murder, and The New Dick Van Dyke Show.
Speaking to CNN, Van Dyke joked: "It's one way to get to see your grown kids. Barry's teenage sons were on, and I had my daughter Stacy on the show, too. That's carrying nepotism to its ultimate!"
His son, Barry, also revealed that Van Dyke was as fun off-camera as he seems in front of it.
"He was a terrific father," he said on an episode on Born Famous in 1987.
"He was very much a child in a man's body and was attuned to us all the time. … He gave me great things: How to make the right choices, how to be your own person. Those things meant enough to me that I am gladly and proudly passing them on to my children."
As per PEOPLE, the actor was credited with the Father of the Year award by the National Father's Day Committee back in 1967.
"I tried to be a good role model to my children, but I was an alcoholic for 25 years, which inevitably impacted on family life," the Masked Singer contestant told the Guardian in 2016. "When I went into therapy, I realized I was repeating my father's mistakes."
In the end, the entertainment veteran decided to regain control of his life and directed lots of love and attention to his personal life.
During an interview with Yahoo earlier this year, Van Dyke also opened up about how his wife, Arlene Silver, plays a crucial part in keeping his vibrant glow.
When asked what was his "secret for staying so youthful," the Mary Poppins alum replied: "Having a beautiful young wife half my age to take care of me - that works!"
Van Dyke and Silver have been married now for 11 years after the pair tied the knot back in February 2012, just a year after she moved into Van Dyke’s Malibu home. As per the Independent, the couple initially met at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2006 where Silver was working as a makeup artist and Van Dyke was making an appearance at the ceremony.
During the interview, he also went on to add that his wife helps him maintain a "positive attitude" as well as encouraging him to keep a healthy lifestyle by working out three times a week.
"I advise everybody to do that, because that’s what ages people," he continued. "It’s just a stiffening up and not exercising their muscles and their lungs. Exercise is the answer."
