Eminem has confronted and "detained" an intruder who evaded security at his home in Detroit, TMZ reports.
According to the news outlet, the 47-year-old rapper came face-to-face with the suspect after they used a paving stone to break a kitchen window and gain entry to the star's home.
TMZ originally reported that Eminem - real name Marshall Mathers - was allegedly sleeping at the time of the break-in, but when he was woken by his alarm, he went into his living room to find the intruder and called security.
Eminem shocked the world when he performed at this year's Oscars:However, in an interview with XXL, some of the details about the incident were disputed by the rapper's representatives who said that he was awake when the incident took place and detained Hughes himself until security arrived.
The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Matthew David Hughes, who is now being held under a $50,000 bond at Macomb County Jail since he was booked on April 6, Yahoo Entertainment reports.

When the story was broke by TMZ, the news outlet reported that Eminem's security was "sleeping", but they later updated the story with information from two sources that said the security team was "figuratively" sleeping.
"We're told his security team was on the front of the property, and the intruder snuck through the back," the outlet claimed.
The incident took place in a gated community.

TMZ reports that Hughes did not steal anything after breaking into Eminem's home, but "was said to have wanted to meet the rapper face-to-face."
After allegedly being detained by the rapper and later security, Hughes was booked on charges of first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building.
