An ex-NFL player's shin has reportedly been left like "Play-Doh" after contracting a horrific skin infection.
Lawrence Okoye - a British track athlete, Olympian, and former NFL defensive tackle in San Francisco, New York, Dallas, Miami, and Montreal - posted a short clip of his shin after he came down with a nasty infection after he "smashed up" his leg, The New York Post detailed.
The 31-year-old Londoner took to TikTok - where his handle is @fullheartedpush - to show off his unique injury, pressing his fingers into his shin and causing little dimples that remained depressed.
So far, Okoye's original TikTok received 8.5 million views and close to 650,000 likes since it was first posted in December. "Looks like a normal leg, right? Watch this," he says in the 20-second clip, before pressing small dents into the leg with his finger. "It's like I'm made out of Play-Doh," he adds.
After receiving hundreds of comments from viewers who were curious to know what happened, Okoye make a subsequent TikTok where he revealed he had been suffering from cellulitis.
"So a lot of people have been asking me what's going on with my leg, and basically it's this thing called cellulitis," he states. "I had a leg injury a few days ago and the wound got infected with bacteria, which causes redness, swelling, and that pitted edema you saw, which was me basically making craters in my leg.
"It was easily treatable - just a week's worth of antibiotics and some rest, and I shall be back to normal," Okoye concluded.
Two weeks later, Okoye then gave his fans an update on the situation in a more lengthy video, following tons of comments asking how he was faring. "Thought I would give you an update on my leg. I had a ton of people in the comments trying to tell me I had heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, diabetes, blah blah blah. Obviously, that's not the case," he began.
"I had an infection called cellulitis. It's basically bacteria that gets into your system when you have an open wound. As you can see I have these scars here from when I smashed my leg a couple weeks ago, so that's why I had the crazy pitted edema that you saw. You'll see now that it's gone," he added, as he began squeezing his leg to show it was no longer infected.
He then stated: "Those crazy holes that were in my leg no longer exist, so I'm pretty much back to normal. Thanks to all the people that wished me well."
Fortunately for Okoye, he clearly managed to catch the cellulitis in time. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have detailed that, if left untreated, the bacterial infection can cause a range of complications - including blood infection, bacterial infection in a joint, bone infection, and swelling that can cause blood clots.

In an emotional and heart-stopping Monday Night Football game, Browns star running back Nick Chubb was carted off the field due to a horrific knee injury that left both players and fans shocked.
WARNING - This article contains content that some viewers may find upsetting...
Even ESPN on ABC chose not to initially air replays of the incident, instead choosing the spare the viewers the graphic nature of the injury.
"I’m told the replay of Nick Chubb getting injured is not to be seen," Monday Night Football’s Joe Buck said, to which, analyst Troy Aikman replied: "Yeah, we’re not going to show it. It’s as bad as you can imagine."
The unfortunate event occurred during the Browns-Steelers game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, impacting the Browns' performance and their 26-22 loss to the Steelers. And the pain was felt across the entire team. "It (freaking) hurts," stated Myles Garrett, the Browns' defensive end, capturing the sentiments of players and fans alike, per the New York Post.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed the gravity of Chubb's injury in a post-game press conference, describing it as "significant" and suggesting that it will most likely end his season.
According to NFL.com, Chubb is suspected to have suffered multiple torn ligaments, but will be undergoing an MRI scan on Tuesday to confirm the nature of the injury.
The Browns' star rusher - who had previously experienced a similar injury in 2015 during his sophomore season at Georgia - took a handoff from quarterback Deshaun Watson during a first-and-goal at the 8-yard line. He was subsequently hit low by Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, causing him to clutch his knee in agony.
"We feel, obviously, for Nick," commented Stefanski after the game. "But I know Nick and his teammates know, and you have to move on." The sentiments were echoed by Garrett, who said, "He's a man of few words who just keeps his head down and he's always working. That's the integrity he has for the game. That’s what we hope to have now, especially for him.”
The unsettling moment even prompted an audible gasp from the Heinz Field crowd, as described by ESPN's play-by-play announcer Joe Buck. Moreover, Steelers fans showed their sportsmanship by chanting Chubb's name as he was taken off the field for medical evaluation.
Chubb's injury led to Jerome Ford stepping in as the Browns' running back. Ford quickly scored a touchdown and successfully ran in a two-point conversion, bringing the score to 11-7 in the second quarter. In a twist of fate, Fitzpatrick, who was involved in Chubb's injury, also required medical attention and was later ruled out due to a chest injury.
The sudden turn of events had a ripple effect throughout the NFL community. Stars like Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert, and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson took to social media, sharing posts that read, "Prayers for Nick Chubb."
JJ Watt, the former defensive end, summed up the collective sentiment with a tweet that read: "Just the worst feeling. Gutted for Nick Chubb. Hope Minkah is ok. Injuries suck man. They absolutely suck."
We wish Nick all the best on his recovery journey - and we hope to see him back on the field again soon.

Yes, this is not for the faint-hearted.
MMA fighter Gabriel Benitez managed to continue fighting through two rounds against his opponent on Wednesday, despite suffering one of the worst leg injuries seen in the promotion's history.
Benitez sadly lost his bout against Omar Morales at UFC Fight Night in Jacksonville, Florida - but Morales' extending his undefeated MMA streak was far from the story on everybody's lips when the match ended.

Despite the injury, Benitez managed to continue and fought well - however, he later lost 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 on points.

NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill appeared in court this week after being accused of shattering an OnlyFans model's leg.
Her lawyers claim that the former Miami Dolphins star shoved her during a football lesson as he felt "humiliated", during the trial on Thursday May 7.
Hill, who stands at 178cm, has been sued by OnlyFans model Sophie Hall, who is 185 cm, as her lawsuit claims that he broke her leg with a "crushing force" while playing football at his Florida home in June 2023.
Among the evidence is Hall's claim that the NFL player gave her a piggyback into his bedroom so they could have sex over a matter of days, after her leg was broken.
Hill said that he wanted to sleep with her as he has a "fetish" for tall women.
Appearing in a Florida courtroom yesterday, Hall, 36, originally sued Hill, 32, back in February 2024, saying that he had shoved her to the ground in a "fit of anger" after she "embarrassed" him during their training session in front of friends and family.
As a result of this injury, Hall says that she now has pins in her leg and is in constant pain following reconstructive surgery.
Jonathan Gdanski, Hall's lawyer, admitted to jurors that this case is "about an aggressive act," according to Local10.
Gdanski recalled: “What happened was Sophie Hall, this woman, moved him back,
“They giggled, they laughed,” he said, but the leg break left her in "excruciating pain."
Hill, who is now a free agent after struggling with injuries in recent times, allegedly “became enraged and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg,” said the lawsuit.
Hall, who has over 2.3 million Instagram followers, says that the incident forced her to go through reconstructive surgery and weekly physical therapy.
As a result, she is suing for over $50,000 under claims of battery, assault and negligence.
The jury was shown photos of her X-rays during the opening statements.
Hall said that she was a single mother who was a house cleaner before turning to NSFW content, also braiding hair and selling hair bows.
"I ended up being a single mom and I did everything… what I could to make money to provide for [my children]," she explained.
After Hill was sued, his lawyers responded and claimed Hall broke her leg after tripping a dog, not during their session.
Days after Hill was slapped with the civil case, his lawyers fired back claiming Hall broke her leg after tripping over a dog.
Rob Horwitz, the Super Bowl champion's lawyer, claimed that as Hill was going “around, [Hall] steps on the dog and goes down on her knee.”
He also highlighted that she volunteered to take part in the drill and should have been aware of the side effects, as Hall took to the witness stand on Thursday.
She is expected to continue her testimony on Friday.
Back in December 2024, Hill said at a deposition by his lawyers that he wanted to sleep with Hall “because she’s tall … as a fetish maybe,” report the Daily Mail.
Horwitz pointed out that Hall didn't seek treatment for 30 days and that she had intercourse with the NFL player twice after the injury, highlighting: "She had sex with Mr. Hill twice," he told the court on as per CBS Miami, adding: "She then goes ATV riding, fishing."
As part of her October 2024 deposition, Hall said she had sex after her leg was broken and only seeked treatment after a multi-day sex romp.
“I wanted comfort, I felt very vulnerable in that moment. I was injured,” she admitted, as it was revealed that she also slept in his bed.
“That’s not the words I used. I said I got injured while playing,” Hall said about claims that Hill intentionally hurt her.
“I just said that I was trying to guard him and that’s how I got hurt.”
The NFL player has been accused of domestic abuse by his estranged wife, who he was with for 17 months, while also being questioned over his fatherhood over two children.
A pair of paternity lawsuits followed from some online models.
Estranged wife Keeta Vaccaro, 29, accused the athlete of punching her, ripping out her hair and spitting in her face, according to 2025 divorce documents - Hill has long denied these allegations.
Back in 2014, he was accused of domestic violence by the mother of three of his children and pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation in 2014.

Jameela Jamil has taken to social media to show off her "elastic" skin after being diagnosed with a rare tissue disorder.
The 36-year-old London native had taken to TikTok to post a video of herself explaining that she had just been suffering from a tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a condition that affects connective tissues like skin, joints, and blood vessel walls. According to the Mayo Clinic, people who have the syndrome often experience overly flexible joints and stretchy, fragile skin.
Jamil - whose most recent acting role was in She Hulk: Attorney-at-Law - discussed the condition in a three-minute TikTok video, which has been liked over 55,000 times.
In it, she begins by stretching out her cheeks, saying: "Jesus Christ, that is not an app, that is not a filter, that is just my face. Look how elastic that is."
Check out the insightful video below:She then goes on to explain that her stretchiness is a symptom of the syndrome, adding: "It pertains to my joints. As you can see, nothing bends the right way, everything bends the right and the wrong way," as she hyper extended her arm.
"Yes, that is very sexy, thanks for asking," she said, before stating that she wants to spread awareness of the condition "in spite of the fact that people like to make fun of me over my health."
The Good Place actress then also posted the video on Instagram, where she was able to provide a more detailed caption to her 3.7 million followers. In it, she wrote: "Sorry I don't talk about this more often. The internet made fun of me over my health problems and it made me suicidal for a while."
Jamil was referring to her long list of health issues, which include cancer battles, car accident injuries, and seizures.
As she states, some online users trolled her after sharing such issues, which she said made her "suicidal."
"But they are just a bunch of ignorant a***holes who haven't a hundredth of our strength, they can't imagine surviving what we survive, so they choose to gaslight us about it all instead," she continued in her caption.
"I'm done not talking to the people who MATTER about this hugely important subject because a bunch of people lucky to have good health, have no souls. Let's raise awareness on this subject together, and save some motherf**king lives!"

Kim Kardashian's fans are concerned for the star.
According to outlets including The Sun, the mom-of-four deleted a video from her TikTok account after many followers were alarmed about a "weird bruise" on her chin and jaw.
In the clip - which appears to have been filmed by Kim's nine-year-old daughter North - the pair can be seen dancing around in a parked car while Drake's 'One Dance' plays in the background.
Kim and North often post videos of themselves hanging out and lip-syncing to songs on their shared TikTok account, @kimandnorth.
However, eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice an odd detail in this video that set it apart from the mom-and-daughter duo's usual TikToks.
As Kim danced while holding a coffee in one hand, there appears to be a dark mark or bruising along her jawline.
Check out the 'bruise' below:Despite the mark only being visible for a few seconds, the clip was deleted soon after it was shared.
However, it wasn't removed fast enough to stop quick-fingered fans from taking screen recordings of the TikTok and then resharing it to other social media platforms.
The video prompted concern among fans, who took to the comments section to speculate as to what could have caused the mark - and why Kim was so keen to hide it.
One commented that they could clearly see a "weird bruise" on the reality star's face, according to a report by The Sun.
Meanwhile, many assumed the mark was the result of fillers or botox injections.
"She probably had some fillers/botox done which can bruise depending on [what] you have done," one wrote. Another agreed, commenting: "Cosmetic injectables bruising."
Others theorized that the mark could be a sign of Kim's psoriasis, writing: "I think it could be her psoriasis acting up again."
One person thought it could be nothing more than a sign that North - who has a passion for wound special effects make up - has been practicing on her mom. "Remember North is a trauma 'make-up' artist," they wrote.
And another thought it could even hint that the beauty mogul is in a new relationship. "Maybe it’s a passion mark," they commented.
