Fans have been left speechless after seeing John Goodman's incredible transformation.
The 70-year-old star recently made an appearance at the 62nd Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco on Sunday where he showed off his new look after shredding a whopping 200lbs over the past decade.
Taking to the red carpet at the event, the Monsters University alum wowed fans as he posed in a black double-breasted blazer with wide-leg beige suit trousers and deep tan dress shoes.
The actor paired the look with a yellow, patterned tie and a pair of patching shades giving him that timeless summer-by-the-sea look.
Goodman attended the event as a jury president.
When speaking about the decision to appoint him, Laurent Puons, the festival organizer described him as a "legend."
"John Goodman is, quite frankly, a legend," she said, per Variety. "My grandson loves him, my mother loves him and I love him."
She continued: "He’s crossed several generations with a phenomenal film career, and a phenomenal television career. He’s done it all, played every role. If he wasn’t leading the jury, we’d give him our lifetime achievement award."
The news comes after Goodman revealed that he would be undergoing a weight loss journey all the way back in 2007 and it seems as though all the hard work he's been putting into his goals has finally paid off.
Speaking to radio host Howard Stern back in 2016, the 70-year-old opened up about changing up his lifestyle.
"I took it slow. I just wanted to change my lifestyle", he admitted. "It's an ongoing process for the rest of my life. You look in the mirror everyday and go, 'I gotta deal with this the rest of the day, I gotta deal with this schmuck?'"
The following year in 2017, he also spoke about the dramatic change with ABC saying: "In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack or whatever and just go back to my old habits.
"This time I wanted to do it slowly. Move, exercise. I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to sit still anymore," he added.
The actor noticed he had a problem, telling AARP in 2018 that he was just "shoving everything into [his] mouth,", so going on a Mediterranean-style diet consisting of more fish, fruit and nuts, along with an understanding of portion control helped him to even things out.
He also ditched alcohol and started moving around more, doing 10,000-12,000 steps a day to keep himself active.
And it has all well and truly paid off!
Fans took to social media to commend the star for his effort.
Over on Facebook, it was a similar type of reaction.
We hope Goodman continues to lead a happy and healthy life!
