Fetty Wap has broken his silence over the tragic death of his four-year-old daughter.

The rapper, 30, took to Instagram Live to speak about his late daughter, Lauren Maxwell, and he shared a picture of her and asked fans to post butterflies on social media in her honor.

"If you can do me a favor, just post all butterflies," he asked as he explained how much his late daughter loved them, adding, "All butterflies."

In response to the request, fans flooded the comments section of the live video with butterfly emoji.

News of the four-year-old's death was revealed by her mother over the weekend, however, the cause was not disclosed.

Fetty shared daughter Lauren with Turquoise Miami, an American dancer and music artist, and the then-couple welcomed her on February 7, 2017.

Per The Sun, he was the pair's only child, however, the rapper has six children in total with five different women.

Paying tribute to his daughter on Instagram yesterday, Fetty shared a picture of Lauren with the caption: "Hey mini me (My Twin)…. I love you to the moon and back forever and ever best friend [sic]."

Announcing their daughter's death on August 1, Turquoise shared a video of Lauren in a swimming pool.

"This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart, and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius," she wrote alongside the image.

"If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself ' i love you LAUREN ' because they say that souls can feel your love #rip [sic]."

Page Six reports that Turquoise also asked fans to be "more compassionate" towards Fetty on her Instagram story as he grieves his daughter.

While she complained about his co-parenting online between 2017 and 2019, she said that their "co-parenting had improved off the gram", and they "came to a better place for Lauren."

"All that Y'all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her," she wrote. "She made him laugh with her crazy funny personality and she loved to be the center of attention and he loved to be her audience."
